manson pretty much perfected goths. so therefore i do not like him. a few of his songs are decent, but all the goths that look alike and listen to manson and korn just make me not like him.

People give Manson a lot of shit but I think he kicks fucking ass. He is more original than most people will give him credit for.
Why should someone who's favorite band is Metallica question an artist's goodness based on how mainstream they are. I'm sure more people have heard or Metallica. And even if you don't like him, comparing him to Justin Timberlake is hiting below the belt.
Manson knows how to score with the teenagers and he does just that. Easy for me to say though, I think his songs are shit anyway.
Sorry to mislead you, but Metallica isn't my favorite band. Even St. Anger is more appealing than anything marilyn has released, though... By the way, mainstream metallica has sucked. Same goes for mainstream megadeth, slayer, ect...

I really don't like him at all, I don't like his voice, I don't like john 5, I don't like marilyn's imagery, dressing certain ways hoping for a reaction, and I don't find him to be any more intelligent than any other entertainer. Personal preferences, of course. I do like the muddy riffs in some of the st. anger songs, therefore liking st. anger more than anything marilyn has rehashed or created.
Mansons great. been listening to him since the beginning. I dont think he should be classified as Metal though since he is quite obviously a shock rocker with no metal roots at all. ^ Oh and John 5 rules.
I didn't like MM too at first..but after I've seen some live performances and some songs like The man that you fear (nice lyrics) and sweet dreams..I started to like some of his other songs..I don't know why he is like this..Maybe he's mad or it's just a show(as he studied theater)or the fact that he has been raped by his neighbour during his youth made him like this,but some of his songs are decent..
