Folks who profess to hate cats are more controlling people. You can't boss a cat--and that pisses some people off.Dogs are doofusses, fun ,usefull and willing to follow orders.Cats "have their cake and eat it too"hanging out with people, enjoying all the benefits and such--but are able to survive without humans, remaining a few missed meals away from wild. They give me a great deal of pleasure. Also ,having a dog is like having a child--you can't throw 5 pounds of food in a salad bowl and go away for a few days.A dog would eat that shit up immediately.

I've heard it said that if you leave a cat without food or water, it will try it's damndest to go and find what it needs, unlike a dog, who will give up, and die.

Never want to test that, and never want to know anybody go out and try it. Dogs do seem to rely on mankind more than cats do, so I'm wondering if, instead of dogs being Man's Best Friend, mankind is Dog's Best Friend?

Anyone who thinks cats are smarter just because they tend to space out and do their own thing are pretty misguided.

Cat's will sit around and purr and like to be pet, like dogs.

But if shit goes down, a dog will risk it's life to save you, while a cat will hide somewhere.

Cats are alright, but I'd definatly prefer a dog around that values me as more then a source of food and scratching.
