I have actually, I love the look of Canada - too expensive to get over there from here though! Especially with the added costs of living too, and a toddler! Give me.....at least 5 years :D

nothing to do with halloween - I just always dress this cool - even in my sleep.

As always, great colour to yours and a cool texture. Even though they're not mature yet because they've got some time to go, still looks really interesting.

Im at two months as well.

My progress has been good, though starting the last two weeks ever morning i wake up im ripping the back part of my head to keep a few from becoming one. The ones in the back of my head are my biggest dreads and they just want to keep becoming one! Not gonna happen dude!

Same here! I'm having to rip a lot!

I've noticed a LOT of shrinkage, my hair when straight was around waist length before and in the past week or so I've noticed its lost at least 10cms! Also have loads of strays! Still love them though

Had a bath for the first time since dreading because usually I just shower, but I had an hour to kill today....its done miracles for the lockies! Plus loooooads of shrinkage, which makes me sad because my hair was so long and keeps shrinking but makes me happy because I know its because they are locking. I basically just swished my hair about underwater for like half an hour and they even feel more locked, crazy stuff

Dreaded Hair Grows At The Same Rate As Ordinary Hair, But A Percentage

Of Growth Goes Into The Locking Up Process.

In My Case, I Have Very Fine Hair, And I Lost 50% Of My Length In The

First Two Years, So For Every Inch Of Hair Growth, I Only Get 1/2 Inch Of

    Dread Length...:(.

People With Coarse Hair Are The Winners, With Some Posting Timeline

Pics Where They Appear To Actually Gain Length Whilst Locking...:).

    Cheers Glen.

The hair doesn't grow straight down like it does with normal hair. It gets all compressed and criss-crosses inside the dread. This combined with the shrinkage that occurs with new dreads results in dreads that don't seem to get any longer and even shrink over time.

There is a point where this turns around though. Once all the hair you had to start with is completely locked up, there won't be any more noticeable shrinkage and the dreads will seem to grow much faster. After 2 years my dreads were almost the same length as when I'd started and still way way shorter than the straight hair I used to have. But these days my hair races down my back. I cut them in half before summer and they're back at the same length again by later winter/early spring. (Mine are at 5 1/2 years).

Back on topic. That's a cool thick one you've got going on, I like the bead. I've never been in a bath with my dreads, but a swim in the sea does wonders for locking.
