Did Bob Dylan record a version of Smokestack Lightning? On which album? I'm not a fanatic about George Thorogood neither, although I do dig his stuff, Smokestack lightning is the best I've heard of him.

 

Covers aren't really my thing either, DSOTM. I think I just love the originals too much to really appreciate them (well, depending on the songs). I know there are good covers out there, but nothing ever compares to the originals to me.

 

Good song, but certainly not one of my fav's of him.

Well, no, I must say I enjoy Jimi Hendrix's version better. That is a very rare case, though! I hardly ever would prefer a cover over an original song, but what can I say? Jimi has got it going on :H.
