My least favourite song from that album. Still not bad though. :)

Alright band, not really one I would buy a ticket for but I saw them live at a festival in 2006 with the new singer. It was pretty good actually, but maybe it just seemed to because the vibes were excellent, the weather nice and I was slightly intoxicated :)

Ali Baba - by Red Stoner Sun. Check out their album El Paso II, really relaxed psych rock with sometimes a heavy touch!

I want to check them out good again. I tried it out a few years ago I gues, when I was getting into folk and psych folk rock but I couldn't get into them. Since I dig that kind of psych folk even more nowadays, I probably need to give them a listen again!

Noregsgard - Storm. From the album Nordavind (1995). Grim nordic folk project from Satyr of Satyricon and Fenrix of Darkthrone! :)

haha, the thing with me is that i'm since recently are trying to get into folk, and i'm experiencing the same thing as you a few years ago i think....although i must say that the album "first utterance" by comus is the only album i realy dig so far, it has a great atmosphere and a funny touch to it, and it is much more than just folk. you realy should gif it a try again indeed :)

as to noregsgard, i was pretty much into black metal when i was younger. and the bands you named where among my favorites. so it's interesting to hear that they are trying to do something else besides black metal. i'm not familiar with grim nordic folk though, it probably has some black metal influences. but it sure sounds different. i defenitly will check them out.

Well, most people would call Storm folk metal I guess, but they really focus on the nordic folk part. It has the atmospheric intensity of black metal. Not strange of course, if you see who did this album. Too bad it was a one time thing.. If you like folk and the black metal of those guys I bet you dig Nordavind too!
I'll check that album of Comus!

I don't know The word of life..

I'm listening to the fifth PPX recordings album of Jimi Hendrix!

i have the boxset of the ppx recordings, which is almost falling apart due to heavy usage, hehe. the second track "level" is my my favorite of the fifth album. the sixth album has a longer version of that tune called "torture me honey" , which you probably already knew....just felt the the need to point that out, hehe.
anywayz, the boxset is a great example of hendrix's magnificent blues playing!

knock yourself out - fifth album of the ppx recordings ;)

back there by the way, nice thing about the Alice In Chains dollydagger, but 'Love Hate Love' is not among their "best" music (because their highess point is so brilliant, love Facelift still). Listening to Devo's Freedom of Choice.
