LSD can cure alcoholism?

It's not just going to magically cure alcoholism, its an ADJUNCT with therapy. When you used this way, it does indeed cure drug addiction in a lot of people. Also myself and many I've spoken with would say that alcohol is basically the opposite of LSD and doesn't enhance the effects so much as dull them and make you drunk while tripping (two opposing states of being really).
