"Doctors warned women not to wear them too tight—a Canadian medical journal reported that patients actually sustained nerve damage from wearing overconstricting hip-huggers. Despite all that, and resistance from folks like Mindy Stern, the jeans market, now a $14.6 billion industry, grew 14 percent from 2000 to 2005." once again, sacrificing health for fashion....oy I'm glad to hear they're on the way out! Now maybe I can find some proper jeans! Even with trying to hike mine up so they at least tucked my belly in, I wound up with a very fashionable camle-toe. Let's see.....belly flab and butt crack or camle-toe.....who the hell would want to make that decision!?
I like low rise jeans because they go under my stomach. Unfortunetly my stomach pushed them down. I just try to find or make really long shirts so no one sees my "smile" as my little cousin puts it when I bend over. Ha "muffin" effect. I have that! ewww
Bend over? They don't even have to bend over and most of them have their ass crack hanging out. Low rise are only meant for super skinny girls. There's nothing i hate more than seeing a bigger girl in low rise jeans that look like they're about to explode right off of her. I watch her struggle, always tugging the pants up and the shirt down and wonder why the hell she just doesn't get something flattering to her proportions...not only will they look much better but they wont be in constant frustration and sometimes even pain. I know, i've been there back in the day when i was plump and wore jeans that were NOT made for me...it sucked.
