ive lived in nyc all my life and i personally love it.....i mean you dont have to live in manhattan..i live in queens for example, its alot more chill yet you get the city for 40 min (about) with the subway. or 15 min by car
There are good people everywhere. NYC is the capitalists paradise for the USA. Whatever you want can be bought, whatever law you want to break can be broken for the right price. If you have a job and are happy doing it and you have no aspirations for something bigger and better then just stay where you are and be happy that you are not part of the rat race, because really, what you are in NYC is a rat, scratching out an existance, a life, a name for itself. NYC can be fun, but really it has turned into a playground for the well-to-do. If you don't have a job (or a trust fund) that pays 60 - 70K, living in Manhattan is unlikely. Having grown up in and around NYC, I can say that is is not what it used to be.
