pot is also a problem when you have children who happen to continually get ear infections, bronchitis, pink eye and generally suppressed immune systems. it's also a problem when mommy gives helpless baby a nice dose of them toxins through the umbilical cord. it's also a problem when it becomes a higher priority than your school work or job. it's also a problem when it inhibits your ability to carry on with a simple conversation in a normal manner, or when you have to "balance the budget" around your smoking habits. it's also a problem when you go to get a real job and you suddenly learn that they test potential employees hair follicles, thus resulting in you not getting said job or any other job that is likely to mean anything, ever. it's also a problem when it becomes ingrained in your entire social life like a parasite, where when without it your relationships are suddenly revealed to you as being completely without any real meaning or basis whatsoever. it's also a problem when you actually decide to learn about it for yourself and accept the fact that you're taking your otherwise good health for granted and using it as a metaphorical punching bag for cheap thrills, the "shotgun" approach that will ultimately be a shorter-than-necessary lived attempt at a happier existence. it also may be a problem when you're 30 and trying to get a piece whilst resembling an immature 45 or 50-year-old. it's also a problem when your girlfriend cares not about poisoning her children, raping their quality of life and potentially good futures because you're such a bad lover and she's so incredibly lonely, stressed and insecure that she's forced to replace you with pot. it's also a problem when once you've sufficiently destroyed your health enough that you're compelled to wake up from your drug-induced coma in your early thirties, look in the mirror and ask yourself, "what if... i didn't?"

    I don't.

    I used to.
It did me a lot of good, back then.

The problems you make it out to be, are there because you make them out to be there. Its called the Placebo effect.

People like you look for excuses to be lazy. I have written multi million$ software, and the pot relaxed me enough to sit in front of the PC for 10 hours per day. I Graduated with honours in Psych, and Philosophy, with the highest marks for a paper in the entire Psych department. I also achieved the highest mark for a com sci prac of 150% when I studied that.

If your gf replaced you with pot, then YOU are the problem.
And your problem is that you are illiterate.

I am 38, most people that look at me think I am in my 20's because I have lived a relaxed and stress free life. During my 20's I smoked all the time. It mostly stopped me being violent towards people like you who cannot type sentences without going into a deranged monologue, and like to project their insecurities onto an inanimate substance. (And me by implication) And; you are so full of prejudice and pseudo-science, that you probably still think the moon landings were real, 'because the government says so'.

Instead of blaming some inanimate thing for your problems, look within yourself.

Instead of sucking up to people as backward and illiterate as you are, do some self- exploration.

You have a free will. You are not the product of your 'genes'. If half the people in your country, 'The United Snakes of America', just enjoyed life a little, instead of destroying the environment, spewing fumes into God's air, and declaring war every couple of years, the world would be a much better place, and it would not be collapsing due to global warming, and financial chaos brought on by the prejudiced 'war on drugs', which is destroying the lives (and productive capacity) of millions of people around the world.

Your Afghan war, is just one big Heroin squabble. Nothing more.

Your so-called 'government' are the biggest lying hoodlums since the Axis.

And your whole 'way of life' is on a one way ticket to hell.

oh. And its probably the marijuana's fault, or so you'd like to believe.

Take a look at Holland: the wealthiest country in the world and home to the international court, where your 'masters' are going to be tried and hanged, if they don't shoot themselves first.

    Have a nice day.

your entire post is framed within a fallacy that is sometimes referred to as a plea from authority. notice how all three areas that you specialize in have practically nothing to do with this topic whatsoever? war veterans, or supposed war veterans, do this pretty regularly on the net, and throw around some numbers as if that can prove that the vet is the same person sitting behind the monitor. in other words, i don't care about your claims of "greatness," nor should anyone else who has any dignity at all, if for no other reason than the fact that this is the internet and that you show none of that greatness here.

throughout your post you make the assumption that i'm projecting, that i am "that" person: i am not. this alone makes a lot of your post (since you took the "i'm a tough guy who's gonna beat yuh down" approach) quite irrelevant. on the other hand i have indeed witnessed, on all levels, much failure, caused or exacerbate by marijuana use, and many needlessly sick kids in my life.

pot relaxed you enough to sit in front of a computer for 10 hours a day so that you could write what became a multi-million dollar piece of software. now, are the readers simply supposed to believe that pot was necessary for you to do this -- that you even did do this -- or, that there are no other ways for one to relax in order to spend exorbitant amounts of time sitting in front of a computer writing software programs? is the reader supposed to be convinced by your testimony that marijuana use is necessary to do anything, or that it helps in doing anything short of numbing one to physical or emotional pain -- something that a multitude of other drugs can do, and are much better at?

    1. your claim that i'm illiterate is unfounded and worthless
    2. your comment about what i may or may not think about the moon landing is unoriginal and worthless
    3. my "monologous" last post was typed that way intentionally, which definitely should've been obvious, especially to a genius such as yourself
... but i understand that you're just trying to be witty

the rest of your post, that to this point i've yet to address at all, is basically some wild tangent that, kind of like that stuff i mentioned before, really does not have to do with this issue, and so therefore i am compelled to ignore it.

finally, i find a lot of irony in someone who's apparently spent so much time in institution, and who has also presumably had to spend a rather significant portion of their life out of it, for it, and who has presumably spent rather significant portion of time stagnant in body and narrowed in mind in front a computer screen, suggesting to someone else that they need to practice self-exploration.

Some people should not smoke pot. I'm one of them. It affected me differently than it did my friends, and the difference was bad for me. Deranged, you strike me as a person who, like myself, should stay away from the stuff.

Also Deranged, I flunked out of college my first year, and dropped out two times after that. Serious emotional difficulties is what it was - possibly borderline psychosis. I was 24 when I finally graduated. I was 30 when I found my professional calling, and I went to night school for three years while working full time.

You too can do what needs doing, as hard as it may be, and you'll have a life. It may not be like the life of the folks at the top of the bell curve - but do you really want to be another face in that crowd? A sense of humor will take you a long way, and it looks like you have a good one. Hang in there, and have fun finding out who YOU were meant to be.

How can you say that graduating with honours in Psych has got nothing to do with this whatsoever?

    oh America,
the land of freedom of speech
    where
'anything you say can and will be held against you in a court of law'

Its not an appeal to authority, its demonstrating that if GanJAH was as bad as you would like to believe, then I would not have been able to achieve what I have.

You just remind me of all those little jealous minds, who kept telling me how bad GanJAH is for me, just as I was beating them at everything from sport to girls to university to money.

Go play with your lunar module you fake yankee fool.
And while you at it : pay your debts sub-primer!
