no, but i mean if i was rioting against some of the stores or they were affiliated, or if the circumstances were right, then yes. id have no problem taking xbox 360's clothing and whatever else i want because its just material items so who cares
What's preventing an organized mob, from rolling up on a closed mall in the middle the night. Bashing all the windows out and taking what you can get?...
nothing really. youd be gone by the time cops showed up. but what you can get isnt really worth the risk. you may get 300 or 400 dollars worth of stuff by the time you have to scram, is that really worth going to jail for however long?
logistics of a mass mall looting would be insane...too many people to organize with not enough profit...if someone was going to organize it they would quickly realize 'home invasion' is where the money is
yeah thats what i was saying. back when i was younger and thought i was going to be this huge criminal who could get away with anything, i got really interested in grand theft auto, i drew up plans got all the equipment, learned how to do it all and even had entire notebooks of what to do for each car. you could make a lot of money stealing cars. even home invasion though, its not like people just have 5 grand sitting around.. youll probably only get a few hundred dollars and maybe a big screen tv
I may get flamed for saying so but I would, you better believe it. I won't try to justify my hypothetical actions but I really need a pressure cooker and I would probably clean out the cough and cold sections of a few stores. That's just how it is.
only if what I was stealing was something symbolic and relevant to the riot. For example: overthrow a dictator, push a statue over and if the head came off I'd probably steal that but as far as material bullshit no, because chances are that's what I'd be rioting against and destroying
What about the whole pharmacy. Say your local CVS is going up in flames, no reason to let all those drugs just incinerate.
I'm actually really surprised at the number of people who said no or were against the idea. Seriously, if there was a riot and you walked by a drug mart or future shop with a broken window, you wouldn't take something? Yea right...
Considering that a riot in the U.S. would bring the declaring of marshal law and that would dictate that looters be shot on sight, no, I'm too chicken to risk a bullet for some free shit.
go to google...do a street view search for yonge and bloor...or yorkville ave....many of the same stores you find on rodeo drive...i am pretty sure i could fins a bag to carry 10 pairs of 1000 dollar sunglasses or 800 dollar shoes,,,turn that shit real quick....had to lol at 'go steelers''...hoping for a celebration riot?
wellll... if everyone else was doing it.... haha i might, but only if it was a place that was insured out the ass, like a jewelery store. they could afford bullet proof glass. if they didnt get it, they should have.
Considering how the LA riots went when I think about it I wouldn't want to be around an American riot. We don't riot often but when we do we're good at it. 53 dead, thousands injured. I think most people remember that famous news footage of the trucker driver being stopped, pulled out of his truck and having the shit beat out of him.
