It definitely kicked off in the centre of Birmingham, and latest reports suggest it's not dying down. Seems that London is growing quieter. Vague reports that Essex and Bedfordshire have troubles but they seem to be rumours, as do the reports of military personnel appearing on the scene.

My favourite day of the year so far, I think.

I think the reports of the military getting involved are just rumours. Of course, that's not to say it's not a possibility.

They are forecasting a lot of rain on wednesday and thursday, mostly in the north, but that will probably put a dampener on things.

Whether it starts again after that, who knows..

lol @ All the looting of mobile phones shops. They obviously don't understand the fact that individual mobile phones carry their own numbers (can't remember the name of the number... PUC code?) allowing them to be tracked or disabled at will! That probably goes for televisions as well now we're all connected on a digital network. Lots of electrical goods come with killswitches now.

1st rule of looting: Only take stuff that can't be traced!!!
