    It's how it's always worked.

The ones who get caught get punished, meanwhile all the rest carry on getting away with it.

I don't think there will be any more riots after this though. But who knows..

it is worth watching the film about Noonan... it's on youtube...

I used to live in Manchester, it can be a scary place at night if you are in the wrong neighbourhood I'll tell you that for nothing, but then so can London.

Used to occasionally get gangs coming in this night club I worked in, causing trouble. One time a 16 year old kid flashed a gun at a member of staff for not serving him. He got thrown out.

    Yep.

Designed to break down the integrity of the law, giving massive terms for crimes people COULD have committed, not what they did, etc.

They let it happen (as police will tell you, about their conflicting orders) so that they could crack down on it, and show that there's a need for more fascism.

    It's sick.

was talking to a friend earlier, who put me onto this aspect... so, the Police are going on about gangs, when it is clear it was NOT gangs... yeah, sure, there are gangs who won't miss an opportunity and there were gangs there, shifting stuff, but the majority to start were people pissed off about that 16 year old girl being hammered as she was by the police... it was extreme for what she did... that, and kids being harassed and stopped on a daily basis... the police attitude is not good, but they are also under a lot of pressure...

personally, i think they are cracking down on gangs, because of the kind of reach they fear that this man, Noonan and his like have, and this is why the police/government etc are making it about gangs...

am i making sense? i have it all worked out in my head, but not sure if i'm losing it in translation...

Real gangs wouldn't get involved in something like that, it would blow the cover on all the rest of the dodgy shit they're up to. wannabe 16 year old gangsta pimps from the school of GTA would jump on this though, to look cool in front of their mates.

    Quoted for troof.

Gangs are a scapegoat. It's really easy to use riots to make it sound like you have a gang problem. And make it sound like you need to get "tough" on your gang problem. But the real gangs, the dangerous ones, wouldn't dream of running around on CCTV burning things, when they're banking off serious shit.

But if you just blame the youth and the gangs, and remind everyone else that they have nothing to hide, you can put to watch everyone on the crapper and crow about school discipline and how your own rich culture is okay but the one you created in the ghetto is bad.

Most serious gangs are approved at some level by either the political system or the police. History shows us this.

i don't think this guy is approved of... he has spent most of his life inside... watch the film and look at how he deals with the locals and their problems... he is who lots of people go to instead of the police... that is dangerous for the police to lose control...

I could be wrong about this gang as I don't actually know anything about them but the better known gangs have been shown to be "OK'd" by the police of policians at some level, hence why they survived for so long and managed to operate with no interference and with uncanny ability to be involved in the right places and strike at the right time and place.

The fall guy is the one that takes the rap or the fall for the gang and goes to prison so that it appears to the public that justice is being served. In reality, the gang continues to function and the fall guy sometimes still takes part in the running of the gang, even from inside a prison. Many of the gang figures have been treated exceptionally well by the facilities that were supposed to be punishing/reforming them. The mafia is where you could find the best examples of this but that became the archetype for this process.

Also, have you ever seen Chopper? He's not a gang, he's only one bloke but his relationship with the police is another good example of the fraternising that goes on between law enforcers and outlaws.

As I keep pointing out, it's CO19... So based on their past record, it probably was an execution. All the reports we've heard coming out suggest that it was, too.

so, if he is getting on with the police, they are hardly likely to execute his nephew i'm thinking....
