Yup, blathering is about all Cameron seems capable of for sure... The kinds of youths who have been doing the looting etc responded to the original
Police brutality in Tottenham, the only way they know how... If you treat people like animals, eventually they behave like animals... For Smegg (Clegg) and Camera Cameron, it is essential for them to place the blame where it isn't due... Poolice attitude stinks and most people I know, know this... As I thought, they are using it to give the Poolice more powers to abuse and kill whoever they like...

‘When you cut facilities, slash jobs, abuse power, discriminate, drive people into deeper poverty and shoot people dead whilst refusing to provide answers or justice, the people will rise up and express their anger and frustration if you refuse to hear their cries. A riot is the language of the unheard.”

    Martin Luther King.

now go on weeping over destruction of private property, if you ppl really dig that. for me this thread is over.

Screw private property, the 'ppl' here as far as I can tell are into life, and don't want to have to weep over it, or its loss.

A riot is a riot is a riot. Could be funny if we were to make it funny.

People want to be governed and have a voice? Then they shall be governed beyond it, no matter their cries.

We could simply try to have a voice, at least to begin with. -lol- And then maybe, just maybe, we'd get to squeeze in an appearance.

Children don't destroy anything, save maybe a good nights sleep. I like them. They're only kids, the gremlins. One thing I never do though is let them love the sound of their own voice more than what it is they're saying. That's just bad parenting.

edit: IB, you're not calling them children anymore?! lol Don't let people grow up on you! They'll take you for granted!

They are also unethical. What's your point, do you think it is OK to make a living out of a product that causes so much suffering in order to get it?

Haha-that's hilarious. That of course doesn't mean 'screw your private property', does it? If someone comes and steals or destroys your property, I'm sure you'd be right on the phone to the cops and you'd expect them to do something about it pronto.

And the 'people' are into 'life'-oh, sure. 'Life' in this case means taking other people's lives and property. What a selfish, childish bunch of bullshit. 'People' that think like that have no future.

i just didn't like the flow of the last post - but the sentiment still stands

david cameron said it best - "if you're old enough to commit these crimes, you are old enough to face the punishment."

In the UK if you get things stolen and the police do not have a clue where to start, unless you are wealthy they dont make any efforts- people in deprived areas will loot, this area can be dog eat dog if your face dont fit you are better off living else where.

Harringey is one of the most greyest of places on the planet. You can not escape the poverty and rise of mental health issues in this area. I worked in the community for 3 years and lived there for 10 as a child and words failed me to describe the disillusion and despair of the majority of people. Change needs to happen, alot of these people are seeing this as a last resort.

These politicians have never stepped foot in this area. How can boys from Eaton possibility know how to handle a riot situation. Shame they made all the cuts its now they need people on their side to assist in peaceful negotiations sadly I doubt anyone will..even peaceful people in the Uk are starting to feel like fighting!

Feather dusters at the ready for the clean up

Oh, so you weren't being serious, then ? Thats a relief.

I actually read and try to make sense of the posts, not always an easy business. Maybe I should just post "LOL :)" every so often, without any relevance to the thread.

Whatever happened to Odon ? I rarely agreed with him, but at least he was capable of arguing a point all the way, and not just resort to abuse when anyone disagreed with him.

Well, you seemed so disapointed, not being able to go out and terrorize someone elses neighbourhood. Maybe it could be arranged for a few of your social revolutionarys to come round and you could all trash your neighbourhood. All this talk about smashing things with baseball bats - perhaps you should grow up ?

FYI, I have been caught up in several riots over the years, both at football matches and gigs - not as a willing participant, just being in the wrong place at the wrong time. And I'm here to tell you that it is no joke at all. To see the sheer naked hate and aggression on the faces of people you've never even seen before, but who would like to badly hurt - maybe even kill - you, is probably the scariest thing I've ever seen, not least because of the sheer pointlessness of it all. Just people out to hurt, because thats what they like doing.

Maybe if you'd actually experienced something like that, you'd not be so glib. Its not a game. People get killed, lose their livlihoods, lose their homes. If you think I'm taking things too seriously from my high horse, maybe you should get out there and ask a few of the victims how much they enjoyed it.

They didn't ask for a riot, they didn't want one, but they got done over anyway, because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time.

You could ask this guy... perhaps you could tell him to cheer up, it was just a bit of fun and high spirits...
