I found my answer, the police are recommending that the public don't take that course of action... That they don't defend themselves or their property, even just by peacefully gathering. LOL

By law they have the right to defend what's theirs. They should "man up" and exercise that right.

 

Too little, too late. Where were these genuises yesterday? Everyone on the social networks seemed to be saying "stay inside!" and such things yesterday, if only they had thought. Seriously, I could commend peaceful vigil but this will just create more fear and probably more violence. They are also breaking the law doing what they're doing, it's only a matter of time before police intervene. Already talks of "our firms" jumping into action (that's the gangs associated with football clubs; sad pathetic hooligan types for those that don't know, typically groups with racist undertones). Time will tell how fucked up this is going to get!
