so glad i ignored her last attempts to communicate ...i dont have time for liars...i started feeling bad about not responding but today just again reinforces that i was right to do it


cant use the kids as an excuse this time either because it was just them ...kids are in school today (on eclipse day her youngest son was with them)

A ham radio message passed to me - 5,000 without power in one of the neighboring towns and 300 in another.

The electric crews said they aren't going out to fix anything today.

i bought some ham radios this summer

dont have a ham license though so i reprogrammed them with gmrs and frs frequencies ....which is also kind of illegal because of the wattage rating

and added in some vhf channels from some other kenwood i have with no license for them either

for emergency use i dont think it would be a problem though

 

i have a Duracell crank radio for emergencies....you can also charge a phone and it has a flash light

 

not really for emergencies....more like for when the power is out....

 

..when i say emergencies i mean lost in the bush emergencies..or quad crash

anything happens at home i just fire up a generator and watch tv to find out whats going on

when we had that big eastern blackout about 10 years ago i was the only one in the neighbourhood watching satellite tv

 

16 years and still feel a little sick when a jet flies overhead

I put on my new Broncos cap and was the most comfortable hat I ever wore. And so I said well if that's anything to go by the shoes must also be good.

Now I storm around in boots most often, steel capped boots. Not so much shoes and I never had a new pair of Nike's since probably highschool. So when I took them out, they just weren't what I am used to. They look and feel cheap.

Anyway I slide them on I notice there's no tongue the whole shoe is one whole piece, like a slipper. So in cinderlla fashion.. Wait was she the one with the shoe? We slipped on my shoe and OMG the most comfortable shoe I ever wore.

I did a sick day yesterday and just as I call in sick, lol, I head straight to the camping store. :d that's how a sick day is done right?

I got some tent peg tracers a 15lt water bottle a 1.5lt Billy can man I haven't heard that in years lol and two head lamps.

A small 5lt petrol generator is on its way and just a few things to get from hardware suppliers store and I'm done, I have everything I need.
