Driving today saw a yellow fire hydrant. Never saw a yellow one before today just red ones.

    Is it a pee deterrent?

yellow is easier to find and less likely to hit with a car

ive never seen a red one

Wisconsin is suppling Canada with some strong rain showers tonight. I hope everyone affected got those crunchy leaves out of the gutters.

Except at night time, yellow is harsher on the eyes so the yellow hydrant could burn that image into your site for a few blinks hehe.

Do you get the sand feeling? I heard that milk in the eyes is the best for welding flash. I have stick and MIG welded I had a helmet with auto tint. I didn't weld much but was an elective in school. Coincidence or not the eye specialist says my corneal problems most likely stem from UV exposure. While we blamed the Australian climate can't help but think that I only started getting the problems when I started Welding in HS.

Wearing the red and blue 3d ones in high school during class... I was only able to see the letter F on my tests.

i use a full shield with adjustable auto darken for mig and stick

for normal acetylene/oxy i just use my safety squints (nothing)

times i got bad burned was a job using mig with lots of tacking before i owned an auto darken

My helmet is a big black one hehe. But the auto tint doesn't work anymore. I've thought about buying a small stick but I dunno, kinda one those things where I don't know what it'll do for my eyes. The fumes alone, a spark, some slag.. I'm just very weary about it.
