In your picture you're sitting proudly at Bonnaroo. Hmm, wonder what kind of fossil fuels were burned to put on that show, or to get you from PA to TN, then from TN to PA. Hmmm, I wonder.

From http://www.liveearth.org/event.php "All Live Earth venues will be designed and constructed by a team of sustainability engineers who will address the environmental and energy management challenges of each concert site, as well as the operations of sponsors, partners and other Live Earth affiliates. Each venue will not only be designed to maintain a minimum environmental impact, but will showcase the latest state-of-the-art energy efficiency, on-site power generation, and sustainable facilities management practices."

I personally support the hell out of this major event or any other large movement toward a global awareness of our global crisis. I'm over the complainers sitting behind their computer screens doing nothing but more bitching. Or, as I've pointed out with Willy Wonka, not practicing what they're preaching.

and all the performers aren't going to be taking their privet jets to get to the sites, right? please.
as for bonnaroo, it is not a supposed "global awareness" festival is it? bonnaroo is not a hypocrite trying to promote hummer owning main stream musical "artists", while pretending to send the "save the earth" message.

    live earth is a scam.

also, i don't appreciate the personal attack... "not practicing what I'm preaching"... what the hell am i preaching? I'm preaching that live earth is a joke... and I'm not buying a ticket, so i am practicing what I'm preaching.

I apologize for the personal attack. I'm trying to make a generel point (and I should have kept it general) that too many people sit and point fingers/advise/complain, but yet they do nothing to make a difference - other than bitch and complain. I'm just ready to see action, and I hate to see action being belittled because it's "corporate" or whatever bullshit reason someone thinks it shouldn't be supported. My thought, at least someone is doing something!!

I have been to Bonnaroo every year - I want to make clear that I mean nothing negative against that festival.

nevermind the sheep willy. if i had the money to go to bonaroo, i would have. JUST for rage. which brings me the question, how the fuck was it?
i love zach and tom more than life itself. ur lucky to have fuckin seen them.

i saw an ad for live earth with chris rock checking the tire pressure of his SUV. fucking hilarious really. goddamn corporate monkeys enticing the sheep. wake up kids! all they want is your money and submission. and notice how the lineup lacks ANY musical talent? hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

    and blue,
don't for one second presume to know anything about any of us. we clear? GREAT!

The point is that some people are so dence that they do need that to open their eyes. We live in a world of followers and I would rather them follow something that is atl east decent than all the other shit that they could be following.

believe me, i wouldn't be against it if their motives were as pure as they ADVERTISE it to be.
it's nothing but another ploy to capitalise on the weak minded.
IF it were a FREE event, i'd back it 100%.

    with our ectinction

would it be worse if they didnt put on the concert... who cares if it doesnt have the wholest values behind it and it is just a front to put on a concert...... is it not still a step in the forward that more people are talking about it rather than it never happening at all I personally thing the bands I seen in the commercial werent of my taste except for the chilli peppers ........ their kickass... I may watch part of it see if I can catch a performance by them but I wont go out of my way... Isnt it on tomorrow night? On a sat. I try not to be sitting in front of the dumb box

Then explain to me why polar bears are still drowning, why trucks still can't drive where perma-frost has melted, and why it rained in Antarctica. If everyone knows, why is the world still in such a shape?

All of these concerts for (instert your cause here) can suck my balls.

They serve more to stroke the egos of the organizers and give the performers some good PR and face time, than they ever do changing anything.

You want to fight poverty in Africa???

How about doing something about the Corrupt Government Kleptocracies that run every single damn African nation, instead of just throwing money at the problem. Money that is stolen by above said Corrupt Government Kleptocracies.
