ben folds 5 blue oyster cult cake KC and the sunshine band kiss nelly snoop dogg ( okay, i only like that one song so far, and his acting talents ) prince queen
Since there is no such thing as a "hippie" category, I'll just list bands I like. Blind Melon Led Zeppelin The Beatles Pink Floyd Jimi Hendrix Experience Band of Gypsies Spearhead Big Brother and the Holding Company Kozmic Blues Band Full Tilt Boogie Band The Doors The 13th Floor Elevators Velvet Underground Brian Jonestown Massacre Sunstorm CSN(Y) Cream Grateful Dead Jefferson Airplane Moby Grape Rebecca Riots Santana The Who The Roots Pearl Jam N.W.A
The Who fucking rocks. I would sell my socks to touch Roger Daltrey's hair. (Now that's devotion :H )
haha... what about selling your soul to Tina Turner? Socks just arent that much, you can always buy more... selling your soul to her would be much more of a sacrifice
There are no reference of 60s activists who achieved next to nothing, no mention of that piece of shit John Kerry, no mention of world peace and free love, and no talentless refferences to dancing bears, or "phish".
haha...thats just gross By those guidelines, The Dead (and Phish, obviously) is the only "hippie" band...
ac/dc subhumans the casualties citizen fish soundgarden the clash nirvana anti-flag lars frederkisan and the bastards guns n roses rage against the machine the aquabats
Like...? I've never heard a song about John Kerry, world peace, free love, or 60s activists by any of those bands. I've heard The Dead sing about dancing bears, but that's it.
Come to think of it... Country Joe and The Fish sing about that stuff. Along with some other bands..... so thats around 5 bands that are considered "hippie" bands. What a genious idea this thread was
