Letter To Michael Moore

I challenge you guys to find a real falsity in F 9/11. And I don't mean, "oh! that was videotaped in the daytime not later at night!!:$" How misleading!! An outrage!! Yep, the rest of the film must be bogus!




Sorry guys, Bush is a treasonous criminal bastard. When this is exposed for all to see, I wonder what you guys will do? Commit suicide? It will be devastating for you, won't it?

 

I expect given how little actual research our right wing contributors ever demonstrate, that the response to your challenge will be to run immediately to once again simply blindly regurgitate the neocon rants of Dave Koppel or perchance that of Christopher Hitchens (another neocon moutpiece).

Given the typical childish displays of the several detractors and sycophants here (i.e. "Michael Moore is fat so he can't have anything to say that I need to hear", et al...) who would rather remain in denial and ignore the ruinous parade of repeatedly exposed lies and abuses of power of this criminal cabal than show true patriotic concern for our NATION and its long term welfare, I suspect the above links will receive no more of their time than has Moore's film.

The real propagada is that which inspires possibly decent minded people to such blind and unquestioning subservience to an agenda that is systematically undermining every principle upon which our nation was founded.

The enemy isn't Iraq or Afghanistan or terrorist boogeymen who "want us dead", the enemy is corruption and lust for power which controls the Congress and the Executive and for most intents and purposes the Judicial Branch as well.

Keep believing otherwise and the real shock and awe will be those who wake up eventually to find that they have have joined the ranks of the unemployed, with a long bankrupted social security system and a bill for runaway deficit spending that forces tax increases through the roof.

Wake up, America!! (or keep deluding yourselves and be sure I'll be there with a well earned "I told you so" when the house comes crumbling down around you).

 

You yourself are attempting to use a specious form of "reasoning": you are trying to discredit, out of hand, a major trouble with Fahrenheit 9/11, and expect that just because you say it should be off the table as a legitimate criticism, that it will be.

The fact remains that Moore's efforts to mislead the viewer to false conclusions are a MAJOR thing wrong with his movie -- which, by the way, doesn't come within 20 miles of being a "documentary," because it doesn't make even the slightest pretense of being objective or fair. The deliberate use of deceptive presentation of Moore's movies (I have not seen F9/11, but I have seen BFC, and I understand he used the same techniques in both films) undermines all credibility he might otherwise have.

Moore's crap is most definitely fairly called "propaganda." Doesn't matter if you try to dismiss it or deny it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isnt' that the guy who made a movie about world leaders meeting to participate in occult rituals and burn what he suggests is a human baby?

 

You're referring to his Bohemian Grove video titled "Dark Secrets," where Jones infiltrates the Californian grove in 2000 and records the druid-like ceremony that takes place there every year, consisting of some of the most powerful people in the world, from political leaders to CEO's, etc..

He never suggested that the ritual consisted of the burning of an actual human baby, though nobody really knows for sure. My guess is that it is simply an effigy.

 

If you can explain how that clip persuades viewers a certain way, I'm all ears. That particular segment, as I recall, was simply an intro to the film, for entertainment purposes, very inconsequential.

I'm looking for real, rational and pertinent "trouble" you had with the film.

Ok this seems reasonable, maybe he put some spin on a topic or two to make them work for him, or he displayed his opinion with the audio over some footage, but are you going to site specific points when he does this? You saw the movie but the points your saying are wrong are still vague, can I have scene numbers and such?

Whoa wait a minute, in fact not only is Michael Moore willing to comment on every topic and fact he makes in this movie, he has a team of Laywers to vouch for its validity. You are right about one thing though, Moore wants everyone to make copies of his DVD and pass it around so everyone sees it.

What struck me about this documentary is that if you take out the audio you get images that you can make your own conclusions from, and I dont see how you cannot ask some of the same questions MM did.

Well, yes I did in fact. I pointed out that one of your troubles with the documentary was silly- the video showing Gore as if he had won....how is this relevant?

Earlier on this thread, someone said that if we knew the truth our worlds would come crashing down. Well if that person read those 59 facts and compared them to the move, then they might see the truth.
