no, not fuckin goldust...... the collosus at rhodes was this giant statue that stood across the harbour in and around turkey/greece.... it was said that it was so huge, one leg was on one end and the other leg was at another, and ships would sail under the crotch of the statue..... whether that really happened is rather farfetched, and hard to imagine...... it was probably rather large, but in no way did it stretch all the way across the harbor..... it was probably like the statue of liberty....... but it was a naked dude, not lady liberty
Have you ever seen them in concert? I saw them once and can't wait til I can again...when ever that will be. My favorite Tool album.... geez, that's kinda tough. I REALLY like Enima though and if Opiate wasnt so damn SHORT.... 10,000 Days has finally REALLY grew on me though...... ugh, I also love Undertow. What is yours? Yeah the Grateful Dead is so over rated that it makes me sick.
Well If we're going to talk about the seven wonders of the ancient world then we must include The Lighthouse of Alexandria :H Hotwater
My favorite is Aenima, hands down.the other albums were pretty awesome too. Although 10,000 days never really grew on me, but I liked it. If that makes sense. Rosetta Stoned is amazing! . Unfortuantley i havent seen them in concert I was on the phone with ticketmaster, they gave me 9th row and then my debit card wouldnt go through because of the pin being messed up. Needless to say i was very dissapointed. Everyone who has seen Tool raves about them. I feel so underprivledged! haha
I sing along to songs on tv like "the bed and furniture warehouse" Whoops...wrong thread... thought this one was the confession thread.
the lighthouse of alexandria was supposed to be so strong that it set ships aflame from miles away in the sea....... yet another one of those tall tales..... how about the statue of zeus at olympia?? one that caligula tried to steal, but failed, and then he died a few weeks later by his own men??
The song Aenima is by far my favorite song on that album. For the longest time that song would skip on my cd and Id always forget, be wanting to listen to it in my car and get upset when it would skip. But I fixed it. Yay. 10,000 days well... at first I liked it but not on a "level", if you know what I mean.... but then one day it hit me and I liked that album on a whole unique level... not allll the songs on there though are that great. I'd have been upset if that happened to me when I tried to get tickets.
You mean the same caligula who tried to secure a consulship for his favorite horse No wonder his praetorian guard killed him Hotwater
yeah..... the same caligula. he thought he was a living god.......therefore he thought he would steal the statue of the most famous and powerful god in greek mythology, yet zeus had the last laugh, Id say......
