I'm making sole with basil and tomato, and a salad. lots of veggies tonight.

 

I am a mess today. My bunnies haven't been getting along very well lately and realistically one had to go but we kept them together but isolated for a few days and reintroduced them with some success until the bullying happened again. We separated them again and reintroduced and we had not heard any scuffles but I went to check their water and Greycliffe was sitting weird, like a dog with its legs to its side. I didn't understand so I patted him and he just nestled his nose into my hand but then he went to eat some grass and he just dragged his body along the ground. He couldn't use his back legs at all. It was terrible to watch I didn't know what to do he must have broken his back somehow chasing Aryan around or finally Aryan stood up for himself. I'm not sure. I couldn't shoot him because my rifle is locked away on the farm. I couldn't hit him with a hammer or shovel. I didn't know what to do so we filled up a bucket of water said goodbye and dropped him in and closed the lid and now I feel so terrible and so sad. ='[ my eyes are so puffy from crying. I haven't cried like this in a long time, with all my eye surgery you just tend to push the tears away because it doesn't feel natural or nice to cry anymore. I'm really really sorry Grey. ='[

 

That is so sad. I am so sorry....

 

And puppy knows something is wrong he's all sad too. When I was sitting on outside couch in tears he jumps up to me and puts his head in my lap then hugs me and licks all the tears away. I tried so hard to help the bunnies. I made their pen larger with extensions I put them on the grass. All I ever wanted was to be nice to something and I had to go and drown it instead. =[ they were a handful but I'd give anything to be stomping around after those two.

Also not done yet. I have to finish the trim, clean the brick, paint the doors and then tile the stoop. Easy stuff by comparison.

I found a lot more wood rot than I knew was there, glad I decided on this swap. The doors will be Cedar with Dark Brown trim around the windows.
