Yeah.. I'd try to get them to take me to their place instead :p :D Still a worthy attempt of course. Atm I would need 30 minutes alone for the windows (inside and out) :p Aiming to do it this week (at last)

paid vacation would be nice. beakers are easy. neutral, hot, ground. nothing to it.. If you can wire a speaker to a stereo, you can do home wiring..

Washer repair guy was here... 3 main components failed at the same time. He has no idea why that would happen. It's warranty so I didn't pay anything but if I did have to pay it would have cost more than the new washer cost. I used to scoff at extended warranty plans but when I got new stuff for my last place and they all failed just out of warranty I had to rethink that. I'm glad I got it this time around... I have 4 years left on that plan for both washer and dryer.

Stuff like this used to last 30 years and maybe need a belt at some point. Also found out that it's all whirlpool components with different sheetmetal and brand name... @ a third of the cost.

He was also remarking how cold it is in my basement... Not that it was a problem or concern, just that it's cold in the middle of the summer. I didn't explain the passive cooling system for the house. When I mentioned it was built in '48 with double pane windows he was already in overload. There's a magazine article, apparently, about this house that was written in the 50's... The daughter is looking for a copy of it. Probably one of those "House of the future" things in an Architectural magazine :2thumbsup:

@ Lynn... Sorry to hear about the tree but glad it "missed" the house.

Probably for him too.... This was:

    1. Drain pump motor (Even though it drained the sensor said it hadn't)

    2. Actuator/shifter

    3. Fill Valve

Service codes showed him all three were bad, and he couldn't explain why they would fail like that... Bad parts happen but how all 3 end up in the same machine and fail at the same time, I donno. He found no gunk or crap in there anywhere so it's not hard water or abuse.

Ran like new when he left though so I'll take it.

I bid $30.50 once on eBay and it ended up $30,000.50... For a guitar effects pedal. Ummm.... No. Just No.

and it wasn't a typo because I check that shyt.
