I do however think that racists tend to be on the less intelligent side and therefor mistake strong feelings and assertiveness as condescending and hateful...perhaps this is where you are getting tripped up?

How is it an oxymoron? In the sense that you hate people that hate other people yes. But you don't "hate racists" because they hate people, it's because they blindly discriminate based on ethnicity and skin color.

 

So it's strong dislike? Bro, I'm not saying YOU specifically hate anyone, if I did I'm just getting my words mixed up. A lot of people/activists speak of 'hating' racism, I just view it as a pathetic oxymoron. I don't believe I'm a racist, I just hate dumbasses. (No I'm not calling YOU dumb.)

I hate racism, but I don't feel like racism resides in human form. Racists and bigots are only waiting to be showed how moronic their views are, if you have anything to say about how their views are NOT asinine or are based on a deep idiocy, I have nothing more to speak of.

My grandfather would have been considered extremely racist. He, and my grandmother, have since become VERY open minded and speak against a lot of racism and related activity. Point is? People can change, my reason for arguing this? To shine light on the subject...

I'm done arguing this now, because it just goes in a circle and is only a matter of time before someone else jumps in with something stupid to say...

To the girl dropping racially insensitive remarks: Read a book, learn history, and become a little more sensitive to others.

June 8th: we celebrate the life of george washington who at the age of eleven inherited ten slaves and 500 acres of land. When he began farming Mount Vernon eleven years later, at the age of 22, he owned 36 slaves.

By 1799, when he died, the first president of the united states and hero of the revolution owned 316 slaves (60% of whom were women) struggling from sunrise to sunset, 6 days a week in the field’s surrounding mount vernon.

Black history month should be done with, they should make february Heritage Month where everyone can celebrate their heritage or learn about others.
