well I'm a bit angry toward some guys who really treated me bad concerning my quite hairy legs, (I do always have jeans etc) now I 've decided I will never ever again shave for a guy, I'd rather b without .... You gyus have such a responsability, if you don't like her hairs, don't keep seeing her, but do not give her a real bad complex. Frankly, I don't give a shit if you want a doll, I won't become one.....

I haven't shaved for years, and I really could care less what other people think about it. My mom is absolutely horrified. Every time I see her (which is about once a month or so) all I hear is that I'll never get married if I don't shave. Men are repulsed by hairy girls I hear from her all the time... So its nice to hear all you fellas giving support to hairy gals :)

Your mom sounds like an intelligent woman. You should listen to her more often.

Your mom sounds like a wicked harpie. You shouldn't listen to her when she says that.

hmm.. did women shave in like.. the 1500's and such??? just wondering.lol

i think it's totally ok if a girl wants to keep from shaving.. i mean, wouldn't it be weird if we shaved our arms? arms are just shorter versions of legs.

i don't really shave all that much.. once in a while if the mood strikes.. someone said this before, but it must be there for a reason, so why get rid of it? i could care less what people think of me if i'm unshaved... ahah i get called a hippie enough so i think people don't really care...why should they anyways? Also, why would it be socially acceptable for a man to go unshaven and not a woman?! And it's not even like ours would get SUPER hairy and thick, like guys. it's a personal choice, but people should accept it anyways, regardless.

Shaving in the west for women only really got started in 1920's with ads from razor companies combined with more revealing fashions (plenty info on this on net), though certainly hair removal was certainly practised by Romans (for boys too!) + I believe sugaring is ancient tradition amongst some Middle East cultures.

Certainly in late 1960s/70s combination of hippie culture + radical feminism saw many young women rebelliing + sporting hairy legs, pits ,etc. As I was growing up at that time seeing these natural, hairy women certainly influenced my sexuality as I now have a distinct preference for an unshaved woman, Since 1980s the number of women who publicly display body hair has dramatically declined where seeing a woman with hairy legs/pits is a notable (+exciting) event. Sadly most European women have followed suit, whereas in 70s unshaved was the norm. In London where I work there is a shop with many ads where young Polish people congregate to view them; 10 years ago all the women had hairy legs, now I see no hairy legs (sad!).

You're wrong about 1 point, not a tiny number of women can have legs as hairy as any man (especially below knee) as I have seen many in the past, in fact in a village I stayed in Poland some years back many of the women had far hairier legs than me! I guess today women who are hairier than average are more likely to remove their fuzz than a woman with only a light growth. Social pressure means a woman who is very hairy has to be incredibly thick-skinned + resilient not to cave into depilating,at least if she is baring her legs, etc.

Sadly more women are removing arm hair; I've particularly observed this amongst young Asian girls. Also more guys are removing body hair- male cyclists, swimmers + athletes often shave legs, while back/ chest, etc waxing is more common. As a guy I shave nothing + wish more women would abandon their razors, creams+ waxes; a natural hairy woman is so damn earthy +sexy!

I experimented with the natural look in highschool....

Although I'm blonde and it doesn't really show much. I just prefer to be smooth. A slave to the razor. Hehe.

If you've shaved for some time your hair when it grows back will be prickly. Once you let it grow out, though, this won't become an issue-particularly after some of the "stubbled" hair sheds.

I don't shave. When i do I wax. But I havn't done that for a long time. My friends don't shave either and I am harrier than they are. My boy thinks shaving is gross, and makeup and plucking eyebrows. I'm a lil insecure about my legs. My hair is really dark and thick, more so than some of the guys I've seen. Thats just something I'm going to have to work on accepting. The physical differences between a woman and a girl is body hair and fat. When you take those away from a woman you ar left with a child. Children and youth are extremely sexualized an I think thats kinda gross.

Indeed. If woman shave completely, they look like young children; inadverdantly causing pedophilia probably.

I was wondering if there was any way to get people off your backs about not shaving? I hate shaving and I just had to start this fall because practically every girl and half of the guys made fun of me because these bitchy girls in the locker rooms saw my legs and told everyone.

My mom has made me wear a bra since I was 10, which is understandable, since I did develop fast and I had to wear thin white shirts for school, but I wouldn't dare not wear deoderant because I've seen how people with any natural smells are treated-made fun of, talked about, laughed at, etc. It's all extremely unnatural- we are animals but we all strive to not be, it's like we want to be machines or robots or something.

No hair, no smells, no individuality, no feelings, we aren't computers. That said, I find hairiness in people attractive.

And you should be proud to have thicker hair Crystal, as you won't have to worry about baldness later on
