Led Zeppelin

After reading these threads it's hard to determine whether there is more hatred for Led Zeppelin or more hatred for the people who don't care for them.

I am one of the people who doesn't care for them. HOWEVER, I will not deny their importance to the world of music, or their musical (instrumental) talent, which they clearly had plenty of. It's just that their music doesn't do much or me. To me, they tend to sound a bit vapid. Maybe it's because I've heard their music too many times on the radio growing up, or maybe I just don't like the way Robert Plant sings or the bravado which is exuded through the music.

Either way, it's a matter of opinion, and people should not be frowned upon for having an opinion just because it might differ from yours.

I think Jim pretty much said all this already.

 

It's not about hatred toward the people who don't like Led Zeppelin. I do not hate anyone simply for stating their own opinion, now that's ignorant. All I was trying to state is simply, there are people who waste so much time telling everyone how much they hate a certain band. But I guess that's just how people are, it'll never change. So, please don't consider me part of the stereo-typical Zep-haters-hater club. LOL

 

I love Led Zeppelin and I love you even if you hate Led Zeppelin.

there are also alot of people who waste alot of time talking about how much they LIKE Led Zep. just do what you want. dont worry about talking about it. its not like someone saying they like something is going to make me realize how dumb i was for not liking it and suddenly like it.

first of all-LED ZEPPELIN IS THE BEST FUCKING BAND

second of all, Jimmy Page was not a satanist. He may have been in a black magic sort of thing but that does not mean your a satanist. he just loved aleister crowley as i read in my zeppelin book. very good book, hamemr of the gods...

He was not a satanist. True he was into the occult, but he wasnt a satanist. Stairway to heaven is a musical masterpiece, not just "a decent song".

I think you mean that Robert Plant was the sexiest man in the world 30 years ago. Have you seen him nowadays? He looks like Frankenstien with long blonde hair...

 

maybe to you, but im an advid robert plant fan, not just his style but even his solo work today. he still has the voice, the moves, AND the look.

 

I had a friend that hates all music that came out of the 60's and 70's. She is into all that new rock/metal music that comes out and is over played on tv and radio and basically sucks. One day we were goin out somewhere and she got in my car and i had zeppelin on. we were in the car for maybe a minute or two and she was like "this sucks", and turned it off. i told her that if it wasnt for Zeppelin, there wouldnt be all that crap she listens to today. but she didnt understand. oh well, i tryed to get her into them but its all "hippie" music to her, and she hates that kind of music.

But im not gonna get mad at people who hates zeppelin, i like them, and i will continue to try to get people turned on to them.

i've never encountered anyone who has said a bad word about led zeppelin. perhaps they might be afraid of my reaction lol

led zep made great music and if someone doesnt like their music for any reason, is their loss i think. everyone tastes are different so you shouldnt expect everyone to like all the things that you do. personally i love led zep, recently i realised this is mainly because of john paul jones' contribution to the band. the man is a musical genius.

anyway zeppelin rules.
