zepp is great! so is sabbath but im gonna have to roll with led zeppelin also

 

this whole thread is nonsense, they're are so many bands that took it to that new level of heavy, sabbath prob being the darkest, zep is not metal, they resented that label, listen to zep II, gritty and wonderful, but not metal, the who should be on here for one thing, as well as vanilla fudge, cream, hendrix, and the doors, they all have the energy of metal, but they are not.

If you read the thread it says who is better for their era Black Sabbath, Led Zep or Deep Purple, not who's the best metal band. Its a bit of fun sparked by a debate in the pub.

 

Black Sabbath! Ive been saying this for awhile glad to see more people than i thought agree.

 

personally I like zepplin better, because they are more talented(in my opinion) and have a better range and music writhing skills. I like sabbath allot too(ozzy era) and they have good riffs but they just kinda do the same thing allot. ok they have variations, but i liek sabbath as a heavy band. zepplins more of an all around good band

 

Ive never liked led zeppelin and i dont think they belong in the metal forum.
Black Sabbath is my favourite band but they went shit after sabbath bloody sabbath. I think its a good thing they kicked Ozzy they were both better of apart.

Every album after sabbath bloody sabbath with Ozzy in it was bad until Dio joined then they got better.
