i'd do a screen save and save it as a file for them. i don't think i'd mention to anyone it's contents or having read it, which i may or may not, depending on whether it was anything even remotely interesting. but if it was my machine and the only one i had to work on, i would leave it there in my way and just not be able do anything until they got back to put it away or what ever. life is too short to waste on crap like that. if it was their machine and i had one of my own, i can't see why i would even bother. or even notice it was there. sure i might still read if it was, but again only if it was anything even remotely interesting, which if it was a bunch of personal emo crap wouldn't be very likely. =^^= .../\...
refer to sig quote "i am an internet predator" i go further than messenger convos, i read bank statements and phone bills too
i did that once...this guy i was dating was poor-mouthing me...asking me to 'pick things up' for him on the way to his place then never offering to pay me back...and when i'd ask he'd be i don't have the exact change, i'll catch ya later...shit like that. so one day he left his bank statement open on the table and i took a look...the jerk had $19,000 in his checking account alone! gimme a break!
I'd generally start reading anything that popped up as a reflex. I give up in a few seconds though. I've never seen anything intresting that way anyway. If it popped up and was a saucy conversation betweeen my girlfriend and a puppeter, I might scan through.
