I do know a satisfying cover of L.A. Woman, now that I think of it. It's some kind of electronic version, yeah, I know how that sounds at first instance. But try it out, it grooves. It's on a pretty bad Doors tribute album, called Darken my fire . Only When the music's over and L.A. woman are worth the effort of checking it out, haha.
haha, darken my fire huh? gee i wonder where in the world they could've gotten that name from. hmmm, i guess its a mystery.
Oh, God! "Darken my fire" is absolutely horrible! Especially LA Woman. I mean, "A gothic tribute to The Doors"... Worst idea ever!
Billy Idol's version of LA Woman was terrible, but don't knock Billy Idol. White Wedding is popular but Flesh for Fantasy and Sweet Sixteen rock! Sorry to get off the topic.
dammit. you got me. the unknown soldier has to be one of the best Doors songs ever. a couple years ago, i went to see The Doors of the 21st Century (now, Riders On the Storm) it was awesome, no jim, of course, but it was still awesome. I mean the vocals were so close to jim's that i could hardly hear the difference. not to mention he looked almost exactly like jim. when they played love me two times everyone went nuts, including me and my friend emily. oh man, it was awesome. haha.
Amazing song I actually like it alot better than Roadhouse Blues BEst doors song is still Peace Frog Hey am I the only one who didn't realize that Mr. Mojo Risin unscrambles into Jim Morrison until now
Yeah, Peace Frog is good too. I didn't realize that ~_^! I'm not good with anagrams and stuff like that...
I would disagree that it's the worst Floyd song, It's not great but far from the worst. I think you're right it has no place in the wall musicly or soryline-wise, although that part in the story does spawn "One of my turns" which is a great song minus the minute long tape of the groupie trying to get his attention
ahhhh SO jealous lol really? i had no idea haha i learnt a few things from this thread, so i guess there was a use for posting lyrics to a random song on this forum peace and love Jane
No! The whole album was a piece of shit that makes me wanna eat my balls in front of my grandmother! Maybe I particularly disliked LA Woman because it's one of my favorite Doors songs.
hahahahaha.. oh dear, now you know we can't have you devouring your testes in front of your grandmother...that would be wrong and i don't think i would even pay to see that. haha. although, i must say that that album does sound just a tad bit interesting...well, to me anyway.. think happy thoughts, think happy thoughts, think happy mother f*cking thoughts.
=l great, now i just imagined it! hahahah lol i don't think id like to see that if someone paid ME haha think of the poor grandmother lol think of rainbows think of rainbows think of rainbows haha or even better!: think of andy warhol think of andy warhol hahah peace and love Jane
I actually liked the whole album, Hyacinth House, Riders on the Storm, and The Changling are all greaqt tunes
