My cats name is shadow because she is completly black and follows her favorite humans around like their shadows.
well, this is not about a cat - but I think the best pet name ever goes to my friend marcus and his horse, a show jumper who he called 'Your Daughter" now whenever he goes to meets the commentator has to call out thhings like "An Marcus (last name) is jumping on your daughter, he's coming from behind on your daughter and other such witty things...cheap thrills but still funny.
We've got many cats: Lucy, mona, morle,söckchen, sylvester, and Miekesch(Meeh-kesh). We have a tom cat running around our farm. He's got the strangest fur...-imagine a BLACK tabby cat with GREY stripes, and two crossing his back..., it's so beautiful though...If you want I'll post a pic once I get it. His names Felix.
I have 4 outdoor kitties... I never asked to have cats, they just showed up... I say, don't be in a hurry to name them, the right name will settle upon them... My cats are Perky, Lady, Squeaks, and Fat Cat...
ha ha my brother's called felix! When he was little kids used to call him catfood (not me... never me...) :X so cruel of my parents, heh heh heh... anyway, back to naming... my friend called her kitten Willow, she was peach and grey coloured. Now they've got a black one called Twiggy! What about a really random name like 'spoon' or something? or maybe just "Cat"??
When I was three, we ended up having two cats find us. They were both mixed breeds. One was a big male with a white tummy and all kinds of dark browns and beiges we named Meathead because he was really goofy, I guess they took that from the All in the Family show. The other was a neuter-gender that I always considered a girl because I didn't understand neuter-gender stuff back when I was three, hehe. She was gray and beige and thinner than Meathead. We named her Spooky Kitty because she must've lived in an abusive environment and got spooked very easily, plus she hated being petted on her rump. My dad also said since she liked to sleep in my room, she'd scare the spooks out of my dreams. If there's a thread somewhere about dog names, I'll talk about my two dogs and other dogs I've known with cool names. Oh, and my friend and I are huge Tolkien fans and she named her new kitten Tinwe, which is Elvish for sparkle because the kitty shared her bed with her under the sparkling stars.
