Kids at Rainbow Gatherings

I've traveled a bit with my childern who were at the time just turned 1 and 2. We went from Shawnee to the SERF to Ocala... we did it straight through and it was fine. My warning to mamas going to gatherings is to be prepared for EVERYTHING, have everything you could need for them and a little more because (no offense to forrest service but...) rangers and local law officials can be jerks. When I was in Ocala holding camp my kids had clothing, food, toys, blankets, sleeping bags, sunscreen, you name it to keep em safe and happy yet the LEOs came and threatened to call family services on me. They claimed because we where there 2 wks that it was selfish of me and unfair to my childern to have to live that kind of life (hello! we had a camper even). Anyway, the point is the moment they left I packed up camp and left. It ruined our fun trip (which my childern LOVED) and has made me paranoid about staying somewhere for too long.
