we had an assembly in 9th grade because one of my friends little brothers (5th grade) was playing it in his room and accidentally hung himself. his older sister found him dead in his room with a belt around his neck hanging from his doorknob on her way up to tell him dinner was ready. that's the saddest story.

but there have been like 5+ kids in my school district and some neighboring districts who have died playing this game. my twin was at a friends house and her parents called my mom because she had to call 911 because my sister passed out and her friend didn't know what to do.

its very dangerous and hits home very hard when you know people who have been injured doing it. its been around for a long time.

kids even do it while the masturbate cuz they get off on asphyxiation. its pretty fucked up.

you can suffer pretty significant brain damage from playing this game--- its very dangerous, if you're out too long. why chance becoming a vegetable or even death for a quick thrill...

I have never heard of anyone playing this 'game' in Canada...I believe it must have something to do with the drug laws down there and all the scare tactics they are using to try and keep kids away from "hard" drugs like Cannabis. We had health classes and stuff about drugs but they were never like some of the stuff I have seen coming out of the states. If this doesn't tell the US government something about loosening up their laws then I don't know what will.

 

This does in fact happen in canada but your right to an extent. Its a way bigger problem in the states than in canada, just look at the stupid things kids have done in the past. Jenkem (getting high off fermented shit) was also a US problem so maybe your onto something

 

There was this guy I was hanging out with for awhile who insisted on us doing this. Next time he called me I told him my mom caught me and I am getting drug tested so I can't hang. hahaha

heere they do something similar but funnily enough its called "the american dream" its when someone puts their head between their legs and hyperventilate for a while, then the person stands up with their back against a wall, hold their breath and then 1 - 3 people push against their chest...im not retarded enough to do it but iv seen people having seizures from it...it causes your heart to skip a beat or something and restricts oxygen getting around the body
