The trip will be awesome no matter what the bus looks like, but I think most people want it painted cool. I'm pretty sure that's what stephwinny had in mind, like the Furthur bus, but I don't know.
Of course it may draw attention but that's fine. I don't think our main goal is fitting in.

Is this "Hippie Trip" guy on the forums? you have his email? First ive heard of somebody doin the bus trip in Canada. About the trip splitting up, I think your correct on that, I have never talked to this 'stephwinny' person, Ive been however planning and speaking with John, or Furthurmore about the trip and plan, as far as I know their both doing two different things.

 

I just sent stephwinny a PM so I hope to hear back soon. I want to get a better idea of how it goin so I can figure out how to make some plans. If any of you guys have better info on whats happening, let me know.

Does anybody have any idea about how we're gonna use money? Is this gonna be a free tour and everybody pay for themselves or should there be a certain fee to get on? Suggestions?

Well I think people are expected to chip in if they can, especially for the bus. It's a couple thousand for the one we were looking at, right?
The more people chip in, the less people will have to pay individually.
But as far as I know, there is not a set fee to ride the bus, I think they just want help with gas and the actual purchase of the bus. And other than that, we're all bringing drugs, music, etc

I'll definatley be pitching in for gas, not so sure about the bus itself. Completely broke at the moment. But yes I'll bring my fair share of drugs and my guitar too

 

Yea me too. I will start saving for gas and food money. And I can start a stash to bring along for everyone. I already have a good pharm stash! I have tons of music too!

Doesn't anyone see any sort of problem with strangers meeting on the internet and agreeing to bring lots of illegal things along accross state lines? Not internet friends even, but people who met FOR this reason? Ehh I give up.

I dont appreciate being called a junkie. I dont get strung out. If you dont like drugs then I don't think you'd enjoy this trip. Its bound to be around.

 

Makes no difference to me though. If the majority doesn't want drugs, then I'll come without. It'll still be fun. I can live witout drugs. I aint no junkie, and I fuckin hate speed!

 

I know what you mean man, this is starting to sound like a disaster in the making. :icon_bs: But the truth is half these people including myself will probably not even make it on the trip, I may be coming off as a pessimist, but were going to need all sides of the spectrum for the trip to really work out.

 

It sounded like others were bringing shit so I was being generous. You guys didnt say shit to anyone else who said they would bring shit. I even said I wouldnt! Wtf!

 

I didnt mean that to be directed at you, I hope you dont take it that way. Im just trying to get people to really look at the trip and actually try. Planning a trip like this isnt as easy as: I got some drugs and money, lets get a bus and make a trip across Amerika (again... not directed at you) but directed at the group, including myself.

 

Ok, all is well. Man, I know there is a lot that goes into this. I have tried to put things like this together in the past, and it really is a lot of work trying to keep people focused. But I have asked twice about what I should do to help, and have received no response. So I PM'd steph and I havent heard back yet.

 

Yeah we are not very organised I must say, but we definitly have the enthusiasm. My problem is this two seprerate trips thing goin on, the two who started this thread are now planning different trips .

I also want to pitch out an idea that anyone who wants to listen can, since I am in Canada and already have a bus waiting for me, I might as well take my bus and join the rest in like a convoy. So that being said, i think we should have a branch off in Canada, a goup of us will get together up here and meet you somewhere along the way.
