Kavanaugh Nomination

I think when all these old white dudes start being replaced by a younger and more ethnically diverse group, this shit will stop. Covering up sexual assault from the Catholic Church to celebs/Hollywood to the US government seem to have one thing in common...old white men at the top, making all the decisions, moving all the chess pieces. I wonder if they would believe their own daughters or sisters or wives if they were to bring about allegations of assault.

 

I love you, D, but a black man and a Jewish guy are at the top of that Hollywood heap. Also, an Italian woman....

yeah...I listened as Susan Collin's shaky voice basically confirmed Kavanaugh. Apparently it doesn't matter about witnesses the FBI wasn't interested in listening to or calling in NOR does it matter that his own peers related that he is a heavy drinker.

So...that means we have a sexual predator for president and soon everyone politically associated with his sorry ass will be just like him. smh

Thanks for saying that Neo. I like you too. I did not take anything you said as villification. I took it all as intelligent discourse which is far too lacking in today's political climate. None of us was calling each other names or casting aspersions on our familial lineage. :-) We can also agree to disagree. Its one of the things that makes this country great.

Believe me I appreciate where Dr Ford is coming from and I feel for all victims of sexual assault. In my book its one of the lowest things a man can do - its right up there with child abuse.

 

Guilt by association? Once again a classic case of guilty until proven innocent.

No, I think she meant guilt by contamination--the corruption that happens when people like Flake and Collins turn a blind eye to reality and use pathetic rationalizations to defend the indefensible.

Do you think democrats or the politically active left are understanding the right?



I’m seeing a LOT of backlash against democrats for the belief among many people (young and women included) subgroups you normally associate with those who vote left, feel or don’t seem to acknowledge the genuineness of the Dr.Ford testimony. They think it’s manufactured.


Also many older women are taking the movement to really not empathize with their own gender and really project and vote upon a fear that their baby boys will cross paths with a vindictive women who cry’s “assault or rape”.


I wish I was joking but I’m seriously asking this opened forum question.

Thoughts? Beyond the echo chamber of the left, how was this heard countrywide among women voters? Women of hipforums I really want to hear your thoughts on this especially.
