i believe in probability, and that there is a kind of karma in that. not linear or infallable perhapse, certainly not in what we can see or think we are seeing, but i don't think it takes rocket science to understand that the more suffering there is the more likely we are to receive it, and the more we contribute to, the more of it there is floating arround to run into the hard way. rain of tests and rain of blessings fall on high and low alike, whatever you do, but, the likelyhood of what you prefer to experience or prefer not to, can be tweeked, almost always at least a little, by the incentives created by all of us togather, by the values we actually live by, often, most often for most people, without really having the slightest idea of what they actually are. nor does subscribing to any one particular belief or even all of them, really increase the likelyhood of doing so. only efforts to avoid deceiving oneself, and persuit of understanding of how, actually to avoid contributing to suffering and the motivations for the conditions that cause suffering, can do that. the resault of all this, is, none the less, what amounts in principle, to pretty much the same sort of thing that karma is saying, so yes, in that sense you could very well say that i so. =^^= .../\...
If anyone doesn't believe-Everyday Karma by Carmen Harra--READ IT! Amazing book to help you understand your karma and where it comes from.
What goes around, comes around, but in your own lifetime, I think. 'Karma' is sometimes used as an excuse for failure, and avoidance of putting your balls on the line again. "Oh, bad karma. So I obviously did something to deserve this in a past life. No point in trying to change it, just karma."

I've been there a couple of times. Love the place. I will go back hopefully in 2009 on foot from here. By the way, I don't see many Indians using it as an opt-out clause.

That's a pity. I would enjoy meeting a cat like you in the flesh. 1974, year of the tiger. We could have had some kind of wild cat party. Or better yet, a pussy party. Well. its a small world, you never know I guess.
The universe doesn't give a crap what you do, but commit bad karma against another, and punishment/revenge may very well be the way they work.
The stand up routines are far better than the show, no? Karma works much like God when you sit down and think about it. Though I believe in causality(the fundemental principle behind Karma) more so than an all knowing being watching my every move waiting for me to apologize before he smites me. Seems silly, no?
