Also kayne has his entire bottom teeth replaced with diamonds, which means his top teeth are either going to fall out or his mouth is going to be all diamonds since diamond is substantially harder than tooth and the bottom teeth will destroy the top teeth.

 

Oh my god, he's going to grind those top teeth down to the nerves. I hope he's prepared for some horrid pain.

 

Tons of rappers release free albums, but there are also a lot who don't there really is no point to be made there. I'm not trying to argue that Kanye isn't in it for the money, I'm trying to argue that I subjectively like the album, how hard is that to understand? Im not trying to define what hip-hop is or define what makes it good I'm trying to listen to music that I like, like fuck. I'm not "buying into what the media tells me rap is" in fact I'm deciding what kind of music that I like, as a matter of fact your the one buying into what some "real" emcee thinks is proper rap, think for yourself and determine if you like the music based on tastes not definitions. Go jerk off to your unrealeased underground mixtapes homo because nobody cares.
And when I when I talk about autotune I fucking realize it's a voice effect and can obviously be turned off, I'm talking about when it comes to Kanye's discography.

Also i'm not saying it's a popularity contest I'm saying Kanye lives the rapper stereotype, and I truly beleive that he thinks that way, which I feel comes through in his music. When he boasts for example you can tell it's coming from somewhere deeper, and not just an act put on like almost every other rapper.

Back off man, just trying to talk Kanye here, if you don't like him or the album kindly fuck off and don't read threads that pertain to him.

 

As a whole I do like the flow of the album but I think this is a little far.

However, I will say Kanye has a few of his best songs ever on here (Power anyone?).

 

Free albums=free publicity: there's the point. Music is an artform, not a business. How am I buying into what someone else thinks is real rap, because I posted a vid of eyedea dominating the mic with his genius? I already defined rap for you. Rap is poetry to rhythm, which is what the artists I listen to produce. And once again being a rapper is not some stereotypical image thing...I don't care who kanye thinks he is, that's all egotistical bullshit that makes rap gay, just like "beefs" between rappers. Fact is he is just another guy that found his way to the limelight and is able to produce music for the masses and make fortune, so props to him for his entrepreneurial skills and being able to market himself, but I still think he is a drama queen that lacks the mic skills of many lesser known emcees. And the personal attacks in your post lead me to believe that my post has left you a little bit butthurt. Need an icepack buddy? Better check the freezer, maybe warm up a pizza pocket for yourself while you're at it to cheer yourself up.

I guess this would be a bad time to bring up Kid Cudi's new one?

 

Honestly I don't mind kudi so much and he's a pretty talented freestyler. Sorry man don't take anything I've said personally...but I just hate how all these rappers get so much credit, and make so much money because of the label they are with when there are tons of guys recording the illest shit in their basements, because it's what they love to do. They don't get much love in monetary form yet they don't stop. They are in it for the artistic outlet, not the paycheque. If they get paid, that's just bonus.

 

And they are discussing that they don't like the new album.

 

Which they probably haven't heard and are just saying they don't like it based on that fact that it's Kanye West and mainstream

 

Actually no I heard a little bit of it and it was as bad as I thought it'd be. I don't hate Kayne because he's mainstream, I hate Kayne cause he's insane and makes terrible music but thinks he's a demi god

 

I heard that douchebags song on the radio. If that's a taste of what I can expect, eh. I'll pass. But then again, I'm not trashing him, either. His ego cracks me the fuck up.

 

This is essentially why Kayne threads will bring out people who hate him as well as like him.

 

I remember hearing Kanye's first album and thinking that he was going to save hip hop. Now when I hear his music I just wanna take a few excedrin migraine pills followed by a hot bath and a long, slow session with a razorblade.

I've heard a few songs off the new album and don't like what I've heard at all. Just pulled a few titles from the amazon page and listened to the songs on youtube. Although some albums are much better when listened to as a whole. Everyone seems pretty up in arms about it, so I'm sure I'll give it another chance.

 

How could they have avoided hearing the singles?

Mainstream doesn't suck because it's mainstream; most of the people dissing him probably miss the mainstream of the 90s; the mainstream sucks right now cause it sucks, and people these days will listen to anything that is trendy
