Johnny Depp is human after all.

Charlie and the Choclate Factory along with Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory are based on the book. Therefore, whoever directed Willy Wonka with Gene Wilder had their translation of the book ,and Tim Burton has his. The way i look at it is that you cant compare them to each other. Yes, Gene Wilder will always be Willy Wonka to me, and Johnny Depp, many things. They are both great movies, just with a few different tweaks, thats all.

I saw Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, and i loved it , although its a kids movie ( as was the first one ), Johnny Depp plays a perfect Willy Wonka, but not compared to Gene, you just have to get the thought of Gene being willy wonka out of your head, and take a different view of willy wonka, ya know? I really liked johhny in it though, hes so damn sexy i wanna be with him eventually...i will be....lol yea right.

I definately recommend seeing it! open your mind to a new Willy wonka!

although i must admit they made him look kind of like micheal jackson ,lol when he had all those scarves on and they made him so pale and his lips all pink...lol...hes still the sexiest actor though....
