Indeed, I am. I won't deny it. I'm psychotic. But it's pretty easy to assimilate into life. I'm not that psychotic, but I am nevertheless.
I have the same makeup in my bathroom that I've had for like two years now. SOMETIMES I wear makeup in my pictures. Particularly, if I feel like looking sexy or something like that... I get in those moods sometimes, ha... BUT, in general, I wear makeup like fifteen days out of the whole year. And I was probably being particularly "naughty" on those days.
Well... here's my shopping cart so far: For Whom the Bell Tolls, In Our Time - Hemingway East of Eden - Steinbeck White Noise - Don DeLillo The Power of Myth (illustrated edition... whatever the fuck that is) by that Campbell guy. Does the lady approve? I might add another book or two? Any suggestions?
read the disappearance of the universe by gary renard if you want to hear the real story of who jesus is/was. sooooo completely not like how christianity thinks it is.
I read Be Here Now as a teenager and found it to be a tad too much like a self-help book, not a bad one, I'm just not the kind to enjoy them. Hesse would be interesting.
hesse! definitely hesse... siddhartha or steppenwolf... i don't know how much vonnegut you've read, but i love him... kerouac, too.
I read Holy Blood, Holy Grail. That was one dull ass read. Hell, anything was better after having to read the fucken Da Vinci Code a week before... that was one of the worst books I've read ever since I was on a Grisham kick when I was like 12.
I've read everything Kurt and Jack have ever written. Just finished the last Kurt book I had to read a couple of weeks ago... it felt like I lost an uncle. Damn I feel old.
I thought the brown pages were particularly an eyesore; however, it helped change my way of thinking, which was definitely something that I needed at the time when I first read it. Hesse is pretty interesting. Another one is Magister Ludi ( or The Glass Bead, it's the same book, just published under two different titles ) - by Hesse, as well. Another one by the same author would Siddhartha.
siddhartha is an incredible book... i really wish i knew german, though. i'm pissed at my dad for never teaching me.
