Just a note in my defense; one, I didn’t say "get out", I said; “Please leave”, second, one of those I said it to has done this before and knows better and third, both posters had posted posts that fit into the category of what you said was “what the Sanctuary is trying to prevent”.
Well theologically, predestination (not Calvinist, but Molinist) would dictate that Jesus is for all who accept God's grace.
Is it just me, or is this forum exactly like the one for Christianity? As a non-Christian, I don't suppose I should be in here either, but come on, why is there so much bickering in a forum created to avoid it, or at least give people an alternative to the one with all the argument. I don't know, just what ocurred to me while I was reading this.
Well as I understand it at one time the Christianity forum was over run with people who just wanted to convert others and would post long portions of the Bible and with very little thought or discussion. So to clean it up Skip tossed a few and said no more quoting scripture, although some very light scripture quoting has been allowed. Then more recently non-Christians began to invade the Christianity forum and were not interested in discussion but just wanted to be abusive. At the same time some asked for a place where the scriptures could be quoted and a place where Christians could discuss Christianity without harassment. Skip booted a few of the abusers and opened Sanctuary, where scripture could be quoted freely as part of a discussion and Christianity could be discussed between Christians, although non-Christians can join in as long as they are discussing and don’t start with the; you’re all idiots that believe in fairy tales and unicorns, something that is quite common in the Christianity forum. So yes they are similar but in the Christianity forum there is a higher mix of non-Christians and few scriptures are quoted and if you get abused the chances are it’s a non-Christian. Where as in the Sanctuary forum, there is a lower number of non-Christians and scripture is quoted freely and if you get abused the chances are it’s a fellow Christian.
