Jersey shore hate?

It sucks that these people get paid thousands, if not millions, to sit around and do NOTHING! It's also on a channel which has zero to do with what it was originally intended for at one time (music).

 

That's true, MTV has taken a step away from "music" and has featured more "shows" for entertainment...why is that? Probably because people don't want to sit at home and watch sucky videos. I know I'd rather not. Simply because, artists are not what artists used to be...or better yet, what they could be. There are only a few artists who look at their music and videos as a whole,... as a wrap up to their album. You know?

But anyway,
I look at The Jersey Shore more as a documentary than just a show that shows crazy people living life (and everything that comes with it, the crazy, the dramatic, the perverse, etc,...

I mean, why is that so bad?

 

I watch it every thursday night when it first airs. A lot of people like it because they know the characters from the past 3 seasons. Also I like it because I don't idolize the characers like the 'haters' think we do. I like it because i laugh AT them. They embarrass themselves and I hate typical Jersey-ans.

 

I love the Jersey Shore, really funny.

it is pretty funny when they yell and fight with each other, it cracks me up lol. fucking mike hit his head into a wall lol what a dumbass!

I could literally go on for HOURS about why this show is an embarrassment to society. I don't intend on cancelling the show- people should be able to watch and produce whatever they want.

BUT, I think it says a lot about my generation (the 18-30 year old white Americans). And it frankly scares the living shit out of me. The show has absolutely NO aspect in it that prompts the viewer to have to use their brain whatsoever. While I think it is fine for entertainment to not be 'cerebral,' the problem with this show and those like it, is that any person of that age bracket encounters people JUST like those morons on the show ALL day, EVERY day. WHY on earth would they want to entertain themselves by being exposed to MORE of such degrading and toxic nonsense?

All the show does is feed the narcissistic culture we have as well as making it seem "okay" that people's relationships should be as shallow as humanly possible- either just purely sexual or just small-talk and subsequent back-stabbing. It makes me ashamed to be a 20-something white American really.

 

I only watch it to laugh at how dumb and obnoxious they are xD

 

I figured out that Mike was the one that had a cocaine abuse problem. He is a completely different person now that he's in Italy and can't find it. Makes sense when you think about it right? Mood swings, depression, etc.... On tonight's episode it showed him drinking a 6-hour energy shot before going to the club. Seems like a substitute right? I think its pretty obvious when you closley examine the situation's situation....

My daughters boyfriend said it best, "I can feel my IQ dropping immediatly." as soon as my daughter turns it on.

 

lmao Obviously you've never tried cocaine and you've only learned about it through media such as television and movies. Energy drinks are in no way a substitute for cocaine or any other drug. If he wanted the feeling that cocaine gives you, being a drug addict, he'd go out and find another drug that could do the job. If he wasn't able to, cigarettes and alcohol suffice.

This season is really lame. Plus, it's hard watching ugly people on t.v.

 

I watched the first 2 seasons but havent seen one episode of the third. I guess im over my jersey shore phase

 

You're not missing anything. Well, it was pretty funny when Mike and Ron were going to fight and Mike threw himself into the wall because he's a pussy and couldn't face Ronnie.

 

Um yes I have. Thats how i noticed the mood swings, depression, and what not. I went to rehab a year ago because of a variety of drugs so i'm very familiar with they affect you.
