Jellyfish

I know someone who was stung by a sting ray in south CA. Those are a real pain too. I think you're too far north in colder waters to see anything like that, fortunately.

We have a couple of rays here that have some really painful stingers...they usually won't bother you as long as you aren't fucking with them...

They pretty much just want to be left alone.

 

Jellyfish move by pulsating their bodies; they open up and then contract, forcing water out behind them. And they have no brains. Things that don't have brains but can kill you anyway freak me right the fuck out.

And they hurt like the dickens, Annie! I'm sorry you walk like that scene from Leaving Las Vegas now.
