At 'First Friday' downtown here in Vegas last month-an art gathering-this local band had a female member who only sang one song but it was a spot on version of 'White Rabbit'-excellent-Grace still rocks my world...

 

I absolutely adore the songs "white rabbit" and "somebody to love"

excellent.

 

I think D.C.B.A -25 is a hidden gem.

 

At first I only knew "White rabbit" and "Somebody to love" but then a few days ago I got a greatest hits cd of theirs, and I LOVE THEM! Ah their music is what I've been looking for, her voice is incredible. I especially love "Aerie", very powerful.

"He wanted to fly and the only way to fly was to die"- Love that lyric.

Suggestion: stay away from any Starship (not Jefferson Starship) albums.....they stink of cold electronica

THANK YOU FOR THIS THREAD!!!! One of my frigging favorites!....and you, Monkey Boy, hit the nail on the head.....DCBA-25 is one of my absolute favorites!

And yes, I love Grace, but if anyone gets a chance to hear cuts with Signe Anderson singing, she's f-ing amazing, too.

 

I have heard some of the early, i mean really early jefferson starship, and it didnt sound that bad.....yet....

 

anyone remember the song they did for levi's in the early '70's-on an early '80's best of cd (2400 fulton st, i think)? fun-and proof that everyone sells out eventually

 

Just here to remind everyone that Starship might have SOLD ITSELF OUT, but certainly NOT Jefferson Starship...pay attention:hat::cheers2:.......this album by JEFFERSON Starship says THEY have NOT sold out....they kept the JEFFERSON in the name...you see...hehehehehehhe...enjoy.

Jefferson Airplane, in my opinion, is probably in there as one of the best rock n roll bands of all time. I love 'em.

 

Love Jefferson Airplane, music is timeless plus who can forget their woodstock performance?! Grace Slick was a good frontwoman and vocalist too.

 

Jefferson Airplane is one of the first rock bands i've started listen to.They are great.I love songs Somebody to love and Withe Rabbit...Their music is really timeless

Wow this is funny. My friend has been obsessing over the song "White Rabbit" for the past week and a half after she heard it on my ipod...

And I've had "Somebody to Love" stuck in my head for about a week as well.

 

Airplane is awesome! I've got an LP of Surrealistic Pillow, such a great album! And... if i could go back in time and bang anyone, it would without a doubt be Grace Slick.
