It’s certainly not out of the realm of possibility

On September 11, 2001 United Airlines flight 93 from Newark to San Francisco flew directly over at least one nuclear power plant before eventually crashing in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

If the hijackers had been more creative and quick thinking the prevailing winds would have sent the deadly cloud of radiation right towards New England

Well we can be sure not ONE of those ppl commenting about Pearl Harbor and the Tsunami ever bought anything Japanese, because they still hate Japan, right?

So no japanese cars, tvs, stereos, ipods, ipads, etc, ever for them, since they are still trying to "get even" and pay back Japan for its karma, right?

American hypocrisy at its best! You have to consider that maybe Pearl Harbor was America's karma... Supposedly our gov't let it happen so we could enter WWII, no different from 9/11 giving the US an excuse for three wars.

As far as I'm concerned America's economic debacle is just the beginning of the karmic retribution coming to the USA.

Oh, great! The recent 6.2 earthquake near Tokyo, that has nothing to do with the 9.0 quake, was located at the foot of Mt. Fuji. The last time Mt. Fuji erupted was in 1790 after a 8.6 earthquake...

Also another volcano has come active for the first time in 50 years (this was reported before).

A new fire has just erupted in Reactor #4 at the nuke plant in Fuk-u-shima.

Looks like Aflac is experiencing some fallout from the nuclear event too. Their stock just lost more than 5% today, and it's looking to lose another 10% tomorrow at the opening.

Whether the stock is down because their Aflac duck, Gilbert Godfried made a joke about the Japanese earthquake, or because they subsequently fired him is open to debate...

The new fire in unit #4 is releasing a lot of radiation into the air. Personnel have been evacuated from the area because the radiation is so high and increasing dramatically!

They're worried the water level is dropping in the spent fuel pool, which is exposed to the air. No containment left. If the water drops too much, the fuel will burn, and ALL THE RADIOACTIVITY contained in the fuel rods will be released into the environment.

If you're worried and in the USA, you can view radiation levels at various monitoring sites across the US in REAL TIME!

Looks like Denver may have an elevated level. Denver is at an elevation of 5000 feet, so it may get more "natural" radiation.

Japan's plutonium program have raised suspicions concerning the weapons grade plutonium. But Ryukichi Imai, former Japanese ambasddo for non-proliferation, wrote that the reactor-grade plutonium being shipped from France to Japan is different from what goes into the making of weapons of mass destruction.. ...

However... What do you call what is happening this very second?../

This has really illustrated how incredibly selfish, ignorant, and ethnocentric some people can be. I've seen some really awful comments splashed all over the Internet. The most popular one seems to be "Why would we help them when they didn't help us during Katrina?" which is rather amusing considering Japan did send aid when Katrina happed.

Japan is one the leading countries to send money during disasters in other regions of the world/./ And they are a very humble people..

Looting reports are rare in Japan right now.. Which is not the case with other cultures of people.. aka Katrina

Expert on CNN saying this event is equal to Three Mile Island X 4, since each reactor has a similar problem to TMI.

At TMI, half the fuel rods melted in just two hours.

They say the water may only be half full in reactors 1 and 3, meaning they may have been melted for many hours now.

Temps in reactors 5 and 6 are getting higher too. Guess the cooling system isn't working there either.

Expert: "None of these structures were built to withstand this event. What will happen is uncertain."

I've never been to Japan but everyone I know who has always said it is the most polite country they have ever been to, so I have a feeling I would like it.

    Tweets in Japan:

“Nights were never this dark, and I never realized how beautiful the stars were. Sendai, look up and keep your heads high.”

My two year old was putting his shoes on himself saying “I’m going to go arrest the Earthquake!” I realized that inside a tiny body, there is a lot of courage and Justice. Everyone, lets stand strong and get through this.

    @yoh22222

When the lights go out, there is somebody that comes to fix it. When the water runs out, there is somebody that comes to fix it. When there is an accident at the nuke plant, there is somebody that comes to fix it. There is ALWAYS somebody that comes. Even when we are all inside thinking “God damn it!” there is always somebody out there in the cold that comes to fix it.

You need to realize that ever since the Manhattan Project, secrecy has always surrounded nuclear energy. The Nuclear Power industry is no exception and they have always suppressed information that might cause problems for their projects.

So many immoral acts were carried out in order to "test" nuclear weapons, and when you think about it, the nuclear and oil industries have always taken away potential investment from alternative energy projects.

If those billions had been invested in alternative, renewable energy back in the 1960s instead of nuclear energy, we would be energy independent today.

Obama was going to invest in "clean energy", but his big lie is that the lion's share is directed at nuclear energy, and probably "clean" coal... and probably more fracking, polluting our diminishing water supply, leaving far less for wind, solar and other sources of energy.

So that's $36.8 Billion for nuclear energy, and only $8 billion for all the other "clean" sources.

Why not take that whole $44.8 billion and put it towards renewable clean energy only! That's all it would take to revolutionize our energy technology. I say every building should be able to generate all its power needs, so there is no need for centralized power. So figure out how to make it so...

LOTS of radioactive smoke coming from unit 4 now, looks like more smoke from at least one of the other units too. This is way more than what came out of Three Mile Island, for a much longer period.
