I just got screwed out of dinner - twice.

First, my daughter cancelled plans for me and hubby to take her out for her birthday.

Second, I dropped my whole plate of leftovers in the floor.

Yay! Ramen Noodle night. :/

 

Had a nice warm bubble bath now sittin' here wrapped in a quilt...All I need is some popcorn and a good movie...

 

My heat wont work waiting for ps@g to come supposed to be here around 8 or something

 

I've been dealing with what I think is probably arthritis in my hands/fingers for the last several years. And no...I haven't had it diagnosed because that would cost $$$. SO - every night when I go to sleep, I put on a nice tightish (and warm) pair of fleece gloves.

I can't go to sleep now without my gloves.

 

i have arthritic fingers too...before bed i put some 99% alcohol on them and it helps...on real bad days i rub red tiger balm on them too

 

Hubby uses gloves year round. He's got big insulated gloves he keeps on almost constantly in cooler weather. He has severe diabetic neuropathy.

 

I've never heard of using the alcohol, but I have heard of using tiger balm for arthritis...even tho' I haven't thought to use it on my hands. I think Mama may even have some in her supply of everything. I'm going to try that! :2thumbsup:

I don't wear my gloves very much in the summer (or I use a lighter pair), but the moment it turns cool, I'm looking for my special pair. Do the gloves help him to have feeling in his fingers?

No. He has lost feeling from his elbows down and from mid-thigh down. The gloves help with pain that the doctor diagnosed as arthritis. Hubby never thought about having that becase he is so consumed with the neuropathy pain.

 

Oh my! My heart goes out to him. That would have to be awful. Pain in the hands, and numb from mid-thigh down...I just can't imagine. :grouphug:

holy shit guys...i was healthy at the top of the page...by the time i got to the bottom i have every illness you people mentioned...i'm terrified to google search diabetic neuropathy because i'm positive i'll think i also have that

my arthritis in both feet was almost obliterated with sub-talor fusions in both feet...they make 3 bones where the worst arthritis was spreading in the broken bones and they make one big bone with glue and various grafts and titanium

i smoke weed to be able to sleep through pain in the other spots and i go online here ans pester y'all when i cant sleep

 

new cars scare the shit outta me...all these sensors and electrical components.

My check engine light came on for some ridiculous evap solenoid...when the fuck did we start bringing aliens into vehicles?!

It's really a strange disorder. He cannot feel anything from the outside. He can't feel where his feet are when he is walking, what he is holding, etc.; so he does all that from memory. His pain comes from the inside and feels like he is being tattooed, stung, hit with a ball peen hammer, electrically shocked, and several others.

Yes, we have 5 grandkids right here. My daughter and her son live with us. My son, his wife and their 4 girls (1 + triplets) live in the house next door.

We've cared for all of them since they were born. It's easier now that they are in school and it's just afternoons and holidays.

We are very blessed to all be together here.

i think you have your hands full...i dont know how you do it and also do all the stuff you post about....i cant even get my whole house tidy on the same calendar day....i do half of it on a regular basis
