I've already explained how an African character named after a civil rights activist group is different from a dude named James Bond. If you can't see the difference, then I can't help you. Black Panther has to be black for the character to work. James Bond doesn't. Just the way it is.
Yeah that's true. I was predjudiced against the idea of Daniel Craig being Bond because he didn't have black hair. But he set the bar arguably above Sean Connery standards.
The thing about these SJW Hollywood film writers, is that in order to propagate the masses with their leftist ideals, they cannot create a new franchise, because people won't be interested. People go to the movies to try and avoid the bullshit of politics, news, and the ugliness of the world. Therefore they have to sabotage existing franchises that the masses have been getting excited about for decades. They did it to Star Wars, when they made the new main character Rey a feminist, as she cried sexism while screaming at a black man for trying to help her escape
I think there were just so many variations of themes Hollywood could write about. They seem to be all out of new ideas. I would much rather see a novel movie than something rehashed. I don't go to the movie to try and avoid anything. Ideally I go there to try and face something. I don't get how Rey is a feminist, unless you classify any powerful woman as a feminist. I don't have a problem with strong female leads at all, though I don't think men take them seriously. Which I just think is pig-headed.
James Bond is a one dimensional character, who is starting to compete with video games. They tend to be extremely controversial.
that's why you made a thread complaining about it? haha really, that's what they're bitching about? because in james bond number 27 they decided to slightly alter the storyline from the first 26 movies?
Are you tired of beautiful women as Bond Girls in every movie? From article I read, James Bond ain't the main character, probably will barely feature in it.
Men are hardwired to spread our seeds with as many good quality women as possible. You can’t expect me to believe women are hardwired the same way. Y’all are way more selective.
I wasn't really as bothered by Star Wars as I am this. Star Wars has created a whole universe so I feel they can take it in different directions, although after this development I suppose I get what you're saying. James Bond is 007, like even the Goldeneye video game back in the day doesn't say James Bond on the cover, it says 007.
What are we all on about with this thread? You wont know what the movies plot is until it comes out These are just rumours Could be something as lame as she pretends to be 007 for 5 minutes to get into a building or something
These aren't comic book movies lol. That would be the dumbest ploy ever, to leak info that alienates the primary fan base for some brief gimmick like that.
So what about men who are passionately monogamous? The thing I like about humans is we seem to have more variation in these things... a lion behaves a way, a wolf behaves a way, an albatross.. whatever.. Some of them create a lot of different offspring with different females.. Some co-parent and that is a good strategy if you have a single offspring rather than a litter, or if it's necessary like with emperor penguins. And co-parenting seems to be what leads to lifetime partnerships. What about all the women who don't seem selective at all? It's taken me this long to figure out just how selective I should be. Definitely don't select men who believe men are all hardwired to spread their seed with as many good quality women as they can. That's high up there for me.
Rami Malek is the bad guy in this next one, so thats enough for me to see it And this woman you are all talking about was Danvers fighter pilot friend in Captain Marvel, which I thought was a really good movie, in part cos of her. Her and her kid brought a good deal of humanity to the story
I couldnt seem to find anything legit on these rumours And these Daniel Craig movies have made a crapload more than previous bonds, so not really sure what the primary fan base is anymore
You had a similar kind of thing, half a dozen episodes in, some in the media where trying to sink their claws in saying the show is dying because Doctor is a she (you can guess which type of men ) But she averaged 8 1/2 million viewers in that first season of hers, nothing to sneeze at this day and age, its a hit. Show has always been too kooky for me though, Ive never really watched it
Never saw that, I don't think that was anywhere near as widely adopted in US culture. Although I know some former posters on here like Doc and Jerry420 liked that show.
^ ah. well yeah, it's very English i guess, isn't it. i think of it as being very popular. but i hadn't heard much since the woman thing. i'm glad if it carried on getting good ratings. one criticism i heard about that was that the Doctor was a good role model for boys.. like, he's intelligent rather than macho. and that there was a lack of that kind of male role model, so by making Doctor a woman they remove that. I guess maybe we need to learn to look up to people of different genders. there are loads of men who inspired who i am. the idea that women need to imitate women and men imitate men might be the thing we need to work on.
Ok, so come up with a new character with new properties rather than leech off an established character
