it may not have been your fault, but you certainly could have prevented it. 1) only keep what you need on you at a concert. this should be limited to money and car keys 2) only keep the two things mentioned above in your front pocket 3) never be rude to anyone, chances are you're going to get the short end of the stick, or you'll both just be thrown out 4) never be rude to girls especially. they're automatically defended by security, and if they're good looking, most surrounding guys. only using rule #2 would have prevented all of this from happening, as you would have never had a wallet for her to steal in the first place. however, if you chose to neglect rule 2, and only used rule 4, you would have been fine as well. even if you're right, you're wrong.
The girl part just isn't true, in mosh pits and such maybe, but I've seen more girls arrested at concerts then guys, mostly for being belligerantly drunk and annoying the hell out of people. Though I did see a guy get arrested at one once for stabbing someone
naw not all of this true. ull also need drugs if its a good concert, but 2 is right. plus while 3 is true, u shouldnt take shit from people at concerts. and i have seen a few girls get busted by security at concerts. one time at a willie concert i saw like a 6'5 security guard literally pick a girl that was like 4'8 off the ground and carry her out of the concert for smoking a cig
haha I see that happen alot at Toad's place, guys they'll just push to the door, but if the girl is short enough and annoying enough they'll just carry them out.
don't take shit, but don't act like a dick back to the other person. i'd advise being as polite as the situation calls for. i forgot to add in there be aware of your surroundings. because if you're at an area where there seems to be shady/obnoxious/roudy people, move asap. there's no excuse to have a bad concert experience, unless the band is the one sucking dick.
^ Well the problem with concerts is before, during and after the beer flows freely, and drunk people are assholes, especially to each other.
I work in the production industry and therefore spend alot of time at concerts. The thing about arena shows to remember is that securty doesn't give a fuck about anything but keeping things "orderly". The OP's story is pretty typical. If securty sees or hears about someone "getting out of line" they will rough them up and kick them out no questions asked. They are not interested in hearing the whole story or arbitrating disputes, the only choice they want to make is weather to kick out one or both parties in a dispute. It is also true that females will get the benifit of doubt.
well if your thing is getting shit faced, and arguing with other people who are shit faced, by all means go for it. that's why i added at the end that there's no reason to not have an enjoyable concert experience (not including the show itself). but if that's what you're looking for, you shouldn't expect to be there very long because securitys gonna get a hold of ya. personally, that's not my cup of tea. i like being able to remember the show, partially because i was actually there to see it and partially because i'm not that intoxicated. and i also like to surround myself with people who don't look like assholes, and aren't acting like idiots before the show. you could probably eliminate 70% of your problems by just doing that
trust me it is very easy to be very thoroughly fucked up at a show, and still have a great time, and remember it, with out ruining yours or any body elses time. really the only people who bug me at concerts are drunks that go to shows of bands they hardly even like to get drunk and get in a fight... and people who just bum hits off what u and ur friends are token. i mean im more than happy to share but it pisses me off when i see people going through crowds and repeating this process

If the cops really did do what you said they did, then it sounds like you need to file a complaint and get a lawyer. Most probably wont help much but you shouldn't put up with that shit, they cant do that to you. And at least you learned your lesson about putting your wallet in your back pocket period. That is the easiest way to get your shit jacked. oh and by the way Metallica are sell outs. Sorry about what happened to you though dude.
