While I do agree that the Jews controlling the world don't want peace I have to hope that the main threat of escallation in this situation can be avoided when Obama comes to power.

I have to beleive peace is possible, but only when the governments of these countries (ours aswell) have been burnt at the stake and control of the countries given to their people.

 

You HAVE to move beyond this tunnel vision of Jew vs Arab.

Look at all the nationalites and religions that exist with the United States. We try to allow everybody religious freedom, while at the same time preserving the peace. We've done very well with this.

Israel can do the same. Nobody has to move away or get deported. Everybody can share Israel.

The problem is Jews that don't want to. They came to Israel because somebody told them it was a Jewish homeland. They're not going to give up that idea easily. But they have to, because if they don't, they're all going to die there.

look mate, i know you care deeply about the middle east conflict but do take some time to talk to Palestinian people and Arabs in general. If you have extra time you can read English language publications like some of the mainstream Arab newspapers.
The fact is the Arabs do not want to share Israel with the Jews, in exactly the same way that the Jews do not want to share it with the Arab. Why did they voted for Hamas whose official agenda is a Muslim land in all Palestine (i.e including present day Israel) -because they want the land for themselves. Again in the same way that the Jews want it.

The ONLY people who support this “sharing of land” are those that are not familiar with the conflict. They don't understand what generations of hatred means. They are under the impression that a nation that yesterday sent their sons and daughter on suicide missions and later celebrated their deaths as martyrs will be willing to share a land with those who they see as the source of all their misery. They think that the Israeli who sole identity relies on their fight against their neighbors (and not on Judaism , most Israelis are secular) will just drop their identity and embrace a Middle East utopia with their enemies of the past 50 years.

Even those Middle Easterners who are not filled with hate look at other examples of 'racial harmony' such as every country in Africa , the former Singapore-Malaysia dream or Yugoslavia and say to themselves "there is a slight chance that a shared country will end up like the US, but statistically it is more likely to end up like the Congo", will you gamble your children lives on the small chance that it will turn out like the American dream?


I think what we need in these kind of debate is a deeper understanding of what motivates people, why do they act they way they do. This conflict is not about who is right and who is wrong. Both sides are making big mistakes and their situation is so complex that it is impossible to solve in it in a “clean” way.

Do you honestly think that the islamic world will stand quietly by while Jews and Muslims live side by side in Israel? I have trouble finding Jewish text preaching hatred of Muslims but there seems to be no lack of it the other way.

Hamas is not an independant group of freedom fighters. They are a terrorist group controlled and financed by foreign Muslim Fundamentalists commited to the formation of a Global Islamic Society. This is not about freedom but about control. The Jews have been a thorn in side of muslims since Mohammed walked the earth.

Right now, the situation is worrying. There is no end to terror and violence, which overshadows the real need to start again the negotiations in order to bring peace to all the people, Palestinians and Israelis. Actually it's easy to just pull quotes out of context. It goes on to say this:

Please pull a quote(out of context if you like) from Jewish Scriptures, The Torah or the Talmud, with sentiment such as these. I am not a religious scholar. I do not know the content of the Jewish Scriptures but I can't find any examples of Jewish Text that condones hatred such as this.

Actually, Gardener, there are numerous instances of God ordering Israel to kill. God compared the belief systems of others to yeast, which, when mixed, starts bubbling and brewing. He did not want His chosen people to be contaminated, and ordered them to go out and kill EVERY man, woman, and child ~ in some cases, even the animals! ~ in order to keep His people pure.

It occurs to me that the Jews are in the situation that they are right now because they didn't do what God told them to. They were soft-hearted, didn't absolutely clear the land that God gave them, and now they're facing the consequences of that disobedience.

After the horrors they were subjected to in WWII you'd think they'd try to NOT be worse than nazis, oh well...

 

I am familiar with Jewish texts and I can promise that there are many which are supremacist in nature. There are no texts which talk specifically against Islam because Islam is actually very close to Judaism. Mohammad created Islam to undue Jesus' revolution to monotheism. Mohammad aimed (and succeeded) to bring back monotheism back to the path created by the Jews - obeying religious rules.

But all this is all beside the point - Israel is a secular state. Most Israelis do not believe in God and in the Jewish scriptures . Most Israelis are not familiar with the Jewish canon . Zionism is secular in nature, that is teh main reason why Orthodox Jews are against it.

It is like quoting Greek mythology to explain the riots in Athens .

 

But zionism uses religion to apply it's hooks. These people herd religious fanatics like goats on a spring day. On ALL sides.
