eldest daughter's birthday today went to a tapas place (it was nice ) then the "Barley mow " for drinks
The Barley is not a Quaint country pub like its name suggests although it probably was a hundred years ago before they built all the houses
Anyway they had Karaoke and this ( it was probably a girl ) got up and Sang Brown eyed Girl !! Brilliant Vibe but the Jager Bomb Glasses are stupid as The shot glass is moulded into the other one and does not turn over when you neck it so I moaned about that ?? Great night though

 

I am so glad someone else knows my disappointment.
Jager bombs were one of my favorite drinks when I lived in nj. Then I moved south and they have those shitty plastic shot glasses to seperate the booze from the red bull. My main complaint is the shitty glass just dosnt hold enough red bull to make a proper jager bomb.

 

I kind of feel bad for the snake. But I get it poisonous and dangerous. I would have to do the same thing unless I was one of those Crocodile Hunter people who picks up deadly animals and moves them.

 

:rofl: I think those people that do that mess are seriously nuts. Hell no...I want nothing venomous nor poisonous around me.

But what got me going was my little Gimli was about to get bit!!! Not to say I'm all that...but if there was any way (aside from ME getting bit)..I was stopping that immediately!

Don't feel bad for that dang snake...I have a (bad) feeling there are plenty more around ... hopefully I will also find them before Gimli gets himself struck.

When I find him "playing" with ANY other snake I will most certainly pay attention at the beginning of their playtime. good grief that gives me the heebee jeebees thinking about it. :-/

Had a really frustrating morning. I took my car in as there was an exhaust issue, it sounded like a tank. They come back with an estimate of 1400. I almost went over the counter at them. I had done some research ahead, thankfully. The manager said he would show me what was wrong, so into the garage area I go.

The converter pipe and the resonator pipe had separated. They are held together by two plates and they had rusted and gave way. I am looking at this and ask is if there is any damage to the pipes other than where they broke apart. They assure me there is not and other than the plates being unusable everything else is fine. so I ask then why can it not be some how jerry rigged together again. They say well that would not be under warranty then. I know the sell connector kits because I did look up this stuff before I went. I state then maybe instead I will take it to someone who I know who welds and see if they can come up with a fix. I do know someone who does this as he does all my walking weed wacker parts as it is cheaper for him to make them than buy them. The other fellow who looked at my car first then suggests the kit. I stood there and asked why they did not suggest that before I was ready to leave. NO answer on that one.

It ended up being 1100 less not including tax and labour.

This aggravates me to no end as if I did not know better I would have spent over a grand that did not need spending. This is suppose to be a reputable company for mufflers, go figure.

 

welds like that usually cost around 50/60 here.. 1400.. Id be killing someone too..

 

Of course they wanted to replace both of those pipes and they did not need to be. The kit is what needed to be done......bastards.

 

...plus they would have kept your old converter and sold it for scrap ...

factory ones are anywhere from $40 to $200 just as scrap...the one they would have sold you has a scrap value of about $5...



i generally wont touch exhaust jobs...but the guy i send them to is very honest and welds shit up when possible..never heard a bad thing about him

 

You can get a decent used car here for that much
