I had one chambered for 357 Maximum (essentially a .357Magnum with an extra 1/4" case length and powder. it was fucking brutal... the round is no longer in production)
My friend had a .223 barrel, a 410/.45 long colt barrel and .22 LR.
for target and hunting they are great and they also have shotguns.
they are top-o-the line

 

i dont like hammers ..never liked guns with hammers

i do a lot of walking in thick brush just need cheap shit for now ...i have access to lots of better ones (family member collects) but just prefer simple things

 

i wold think hunting a pheasant with a hammer is pretty difficult....do you use a standard estwing?,,,,

 

speaking of dead birds.....one of my old hens passed away suddenly in her sleep overnight,,,,she is survived by 11 sisters and a rooster....suspected cause of death is old age...this hen lived well past her expectancy..like 2 years past

no condolences over a laying hen pete....its part of owning hens....kinda why i dont name them and associate any personality with any of them.......kind of have a soft spot for the hen that only has use of 1 leg....i always feed her seperate so she doesnt have to fight for food...other than that?....work birds

 

That's what needs to be shot - that damn groundhog.

 

My wife would have named the hen, and we would've had a ceremony. It would be a family member to us.
