The fog was so dangerous tonight. I had to go 25mph in a 45mph.
Some people driving past me at like 50mph.
I'd never want to live with the mistake of taking a life of a pedestrian just trying to walk across the street because he/she was too drunk to drive home.

Never would want to run over any animal either. Opossums are sooooo slow to get out of the way.

 

That happens to me too here at times. But it really depends on the person and situation if it makes me uncomfortable. Generally it doesn't because they're pretty normal and pleasant people saying random but not that weird stuff Sometimes you have someone next to you who may be ok but just doesn't stop yapping though. That's not nice either. But because I'm not afraid to tell them I'm not interested that's not an issue either.

I think I do that subconsciously already! No new lines magically opening up all the time though, but it does put you at ease in a too slow supermarket queue for example.

after my daughter spent 30 minutes at daycare while we checked the place out, she got sick and had to have antibiotics.

took her for her first official day on friday and yesterday she woke up with a high fever (over 39C). another round of (stronger) antibiotics.

pretty typical, from what i've been told, but it really sucks to pay $40/day and have to keep her home with me. I start work in a couple of weeks so I hope that this builds her immune system up a lot so that I don't have to take a bunch of time off right at the beginning. my wife could do it too, bu she makes more than twice what i make, so it isn't ideal haha.

 

Yes, an attitude of gratitude! We all should be in that frame of mind but we tend to get whiney and down about, comparatively, such small things.

Soooo many hip members like yourself, female, male, gay, bi, straight have ALL without any prejudice or conditions pulled me through one of the darkness periods of my 44 year life. I've had therapists give up on me.
I turned to HIP for salvation. I'm done with negative thoughts. I would do everyone and myself a disservice if I continued to have negative thoughts.

My payment back for all the support is to "pay it forward " to someone else either on hip or in my community, charity, or kindness to any animal.

I'm drinking tons of tea. I'm not eating bread not like the lists say. Another member told me to 86 bread. I'm following the rest of the diet regime to a T.

Haha yeah you wouldn't think but I bet a lot of people who sit near a busy bus or train station on a regular basis has been caught up in a roughly similar encounter! It would also definitely leave a lot more people than just you a bit weirded out and maybe even catch a negative thought about people in general or such locations. Even though the guy basically made himself mad because he asked you for a reaction and didn't got the one he would have liked most it could be quite innocent but yeah, it's something that can make you think stuff like 'places with random strangers hanging around threatening to bother me with nothing special weird me out'

We were in the waiting room at the ER yesterday and this lady sits down beside us and starts asking about our daughter and telling us about her grandkids. she had a bandage on her face. all of the sudden starts telling us how she got punched in the face on new years eve and it got infected, with way too much detail about how gross it got. then tells us that she was hammered or else she would have laid that bitch out. then i heard her telling the nurse about it, and the nurse basically told her that she should continue to expect to get punched in the face if she isn't nicer to people.

i've also had a lot of weird encounters on the bus between hamilton and burlington - lots of weird hamilton guys heading to/from burlington for work. you can always tell that they are weirdos, but sometimes there is no way out of the conversation. a lot of them are super racist too. all racist white dudes assume that they can talk about it to all other white dudes. the only downside to being a white male in our society is having to deal with white males, haha.

 

my best buddy just took Hamilton mountain as his territory for work...he's a cable guy...he's switching from methville out the in Brantford...he told me one of his install guys refused to enter a town house today...too filthy lol...so hamil-stone is a step up

I exchanged a gift today for the best gloves I have ever owned..i cant wait for it to get cold

btw...I am told to expect 80k winds at some point tomorrow morning

 

80k winds are nothing compared to 100mph they get down south...I cant believe anything is left standing in those winds because 80k seems violent to me

 

knocked my emails down to 770 today. i have to delete them in chunks because sometimes if i click something i have to re-click them all again.
when you delete too many the pop up comes up and says "deleting emails" then has a percentage bar telling you how long it will be.

i have flashbacks of hillary every time i see that thing pop up

 

got passed today by some goof in a ford focus with modified exhaust and an annoyingly loud boost pop off valve....

thought to myself "what an asshole that is"
