their are cons in every city....but particularly in popular resort areas where rich tourists make stupid decisions

for instance...no way would I trust underwater breathing equipment in mexico....

don't take this the wrong way...but dude...you seem unaware of the dangers on a Mexican vacation.....do a google search of scuba diving fatalities at Mexican resorts....its not good news

I've never been to Mexico. I'm unaware of everything that could happen, but I'll keep my head on swivel.

Luckily I'm bringing all my own equipment except for dive tank.
I'm hoping they don't fill my tank up with helium.
At least I'll die laughing.

As long as you stay in the resort towns it's pretty safe in Mexico. When waves are made the money stops coming it and the cartels do not like that. So it's best to just let the white people party and make sure you have some men on the inside ready to help with that

 

Can't count how many times I have heard "as long as you stay on the resort". I hate that. If I just want to be on a resort there are plenty in relatively safe countries. And you can enjoy the resort or go and visit the regular people. Which to me is half the point of a vacation to me.

I'm cooking navy beans in the pot liquor from the ham. The ham is left over. I took it and the stewed cabbage out of the freezer.

So...we're having ham, stewed cabbage, and navy beans sometime this evening just because that's what was left to fix without going to the grocery store.

Never heard of black eyed peas on NYE before I moved here. But anything with mashed potatoes just adds to the goodness of the other food.

..its not as bad as it sounds...it just leg hock meat not like theres chunks of feet in it


nobody likes it but we eat it without complaining because we love her

there has been swans hanging around because of the warm weather...not sure if they will leave or not...this is directly off the main road through the village....some of them have their heads down under the water feeding

 

I lived right on a creek in nj. Saw thousands and thousands of ducks thousands of geese but only 2 swans (together) in the 3 years I was there.
